Very nice. Never noticed before but looks like #98 has the rare gas filler cap on top of the rear quarter panel  :)

Any 411 on the artist?

Based on the detail, the use of brush strokes, it seems the artist had to be someone with above average talent.  It reminds me of paintings by Walter Gotschke that appeared in Automobile Quarterly.

  Pretty sure it was Mr Neale who painted the cover illustration.  SAAC member and Carroll's buddy.

Looks like there might be a signature under the car at the top right...George Bartell?   Known illustrator, back in the day.
