1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Re: 00212 IN DETAIL

I dont believe cars were built in strict numerical order. While the dual serial number cars were likely built before the single serial numbers, I can show you much higher numbers that are in fact, dual serial numbers....from memory they stretch into the 600s...I dont think they did dual serial numbers, stopped and then restarted the practice.

All 68 Shelbys should have the small power steering oil cooler, as installed by Ford

Well, resurrected might night be a good word. Many cars were just never crushed. The story of crushing cars has been greatly exaggerated.

There is also a hand written note that this car was to be updated to 1968 specs, so it maybe hiding somewhere.

Been trying to identify this car, do you by chance know the Shelby number?

Can anyone do a digital, realistic rendering of a classic Mustang? If you know of one, you can email me directly

I think its important we start by recognizing the work of Martin Euler and Paul Newitt have done on this project.

The chrome bezels are reproduced and are nice if you can find the heavy version. You can also chrome a painted version which maybe an option

Expect to pay around $1750-2000 for a complete air cleaner assembly if you want an original

There was recently an "original" snorkel on eBay being sold by SEMO Mustang. You might start there. The air cleaner base is common to the 1968 428 CJ cars.

Just to be clear, that was the case with Mustangs, but not Shelbys.

Unless you were the president of Goodyear your Shelby was going to be one of the colors they already had on hand.

Every year has a couple crazy cars...the coolest might be Special Ed's purple or the Gold 1969 with a gold interior!
