Also, think the 0-100 oil pressure gauge for the '67 is different than a '68 0-80.

Little off topic but a true memory with regards to the '67 tach. Shortly after I bought my '67 GT 500 my mom and I we're heading from SF to Seattle Washington. Was moving along quite well when my mom says "seems like we are going faster than r-mph"! She was looking at the tach, not the speedometer on the left! Shortly after....near Redding....got pulled over by CHP....not for speeding but because my inboard high beams were to bright! Ah, found memories!

Back at SAAC 27 spoke with a body and paint guy who was working back when for Shelby American. At that time was in the process or restoring '67 #0195 and asked him the question about the hood bows. Said to remove the springs, go to Home Depot, get two heavy sand bags and place (with a towel)on the bow sections and leave for a day or two. Was Leary but what the heck. Damm, worked great.

While there are probably 500 + combinations for Webers it took me awhile that few mechanics can truly understand and wok on them. That said, you may start with with determining primary jet number and perhaps working backwards. Possible start. It takes the right combination of Imulsion tubes, idle jets, main jets and chokes for starters.
I had probably every possible combination, but needed to have different combo for Sears and another for Virginia City Hillclimb....4000-6000'.
Finally to get it dialed in set up on a dyno is time saving.
Advice from Inglese isis a good start and may save a lot of time and money!
Been there, done that!

Appeals / Re: What insurance do you guys use
July 05, 2022, 04:22:10 PM
I was with Grundy Insurance starting in 1974. They insured our Packard. When the car was totaled by an uninsured motorist they went above and beyond including medical payments to both my wife and l. Years latter, around 2008, had a small claim with the on our 280SL. No problem. But the most impressive claim was on my '66 GT350. When the rear back window shattered. I did some research to find a replacement aftermarket to turn in a claim. The adjuster reminded me that it was better to go with a different brand and have the exact codes on the glass, especially for this car.Gave me a supplier even thou it was almost twice as much. Customer service is what it's all about!!

WOW, an actual post from Nor-Cal after almost a year!

When did '67 Shelby's ever have a hood with no scoops or ever fit that right as in the prime red photo?🤔

Also, believe it was listed for $145,000. That was a little over a year ago.

Cool Classics in Las Vegas did have the car. The had at one time a Reno warehouse and think they transferred their cars to Vegas.

Also, CA Black plates 1963-1969, first Blue 1969-1980, second Blue 1980 to 1986 I think also think that may have been personal plates were available.

Just a thought to maybe narrowing the CSX#. If the side vents were added going backwards from the first CSX with them, then narrow those delivered with chrome wires may narrow it some. Met the owner of the first side vents. He lived at Tahoe at the time and I think he also had a '66 GT350 Paxton car. Just a far out thought!

sd427....As I remember.....and that's a stretch.....both of my Cobras had the holes to mount the plate already in place below the plate light. My second Cobra CSX2192 had front and rear flares but quite different. I had chrome wires on my first. While the knockoffs look right the spokes look a little different.

Also, why mount the plate on the bumper when it's place is on the trunk under the plate light?🤔

Two observations. One,the side vents are about 2-3 inches or more low. Second, the powered by Ford emblem is also mounted way off. The wheel well opening's looks overly "flared". I referenced my observations on pictures taken in 1966 & 1967 of Cobra's I owned.
