Yes on the Sunbursts.

Nope. All the street cars delivered in the fall of '65 came with the 7.5" Halibrand "Cobra II" wheels. The Sunburst wheels, which were designed by Peter Brock and manufactured by Kelsey-Hayes, weren't ready until very late in '65, hence only cars delivered after then came with them. They came about because they were less expensive for Shelby than the wheels he was buying from Halibrand.

Boggs owned CSX 3144 and 3168.

There were 13 green narrow-hip 427s built, between chassis numbers 3129 and 3158. This photo could be of any one of those, unless there were some way to identify where/ when the shot was taken and narrow down the possibilities. Even if we could ID the VIN, the photo probably only has value to the car's current owner.

It's a generic narrow-hip 427 in dark green, but unless you have more data -  such as a VIN - the photo isn't worth much.

"Upload folder is full" remains the standard response to adding a photo. Great.
#337
Yep!

3270 used to belong to Carter Gette, a wealthy Ford dealer in Millbrook, NY who played with a lot of Cobras back in the 60's - 70's. He did install a cammer 427 and used to wind the engine well past what most people would have dared.

"I've become a big fan of a completely stock looking street 427. It must be a mature acquired taste? They have great subtle lines. I'm over the S/C thing."

Ha. One of the reasons I sold CSX 3042 after 20 years. But I sometimes wonder if it's more of an age thing...

Maybe, but we would need to know a lot more and either have the car examined or see photos.

The car was being offered by the owner's daughter, following the death of her father. It didn't meet reserve at either auction, and she still has it. It is still painted the silver mink its former owner in the US painted it.

Jeff's photos have already answered the question. 3141 does have a different brake pedal than that in the Supersnake.

Isn't that the car Angliss built from the vin tag of Cosby's car?

Nope. 3015 was Carroll's car that he replicated for Cosby.

Chet McFallo, the car's original owner, had 2075 painted like this when he drag raced it back in the 60's. Once he sold it in the early 70's, the car was repainted and the stripes/ graphics were removed. The car was sold last summer at the RM auction in Monterey, CA, and brought to Europe. Using old photos, the buyer replicated the old McFallo Race Team look, and then managed to age them so they match the somewhat tired black paint on the car. The car has since been sold to a new owner in Munich, Germany.
