we had a tech section in  forum 1.0      it could be  behind  the members only  side of the forum ......  but  every time it was brought up  i was told we dont need that .

The "Vintage Shelby Related Literature and Collectibles" section was supposed to resurface and be readily available again but that hasn't happened as of yet.  Too bad.

Thanks for spending the time to share your story.  That was one of my better reads in quite a while!  You still remembered quite a bit and I have a feeling that you'll be adding to this as more memories pop into your mind.  I have a similar story regarding a '67 GT500 that I purchased back in the late 70's.

You might also consider using distilled white vinegar for rust removal.  Various concentrations are used depending on rust severity.  Lots of videos available on the web.  I use it with great success on car radio casings.

I tried logging out and logging in again which did nothing.  Here's a screen shot of what I see when when I go to "Home".  There's only 2 categories under HISTORY.  The only way I can get to the literature and memorabilia section to to use the link provided by Computerworks.  It's possible that others are having the same issue as the last post in that category was mine back in early May.  I'm mystified to say the least.

Looks as if most if not all of the attached images found in the various threads are gone.  I get message "404 file not found" when clicking on image links.

The brake light switch is attached to the upper portion of the pedal where it connects to the brake system's push rod.  The switch can go bad or it can be the wrong one with the improper spring tension.  Power brakes & manual brakes each require a different spring tension for the switch.
