It's been my experience the 'L' stands for limited slip, not Locker. While a limited slip will drag the outside wheel if having been parked for a while, they do not have the ratcheting experience of a Locker.

While that may be true, on the early GT350s, Detroit Lockers were offered and installed, rather than Traction Locks.

Who installed the lockers in 65 Shelbys? Did SAI breakdown a rear diff and replace the spool? or did Ford install them when they built the rearend?  If it was an RPO Ford would have done it, if not, SAI did the work.  Chuck Cantwell was pretty clear when describing the coordination of the building of the basic car that Ford fltly refused to do ANYTHING that was't an RPO.

I remember them remaking these things and I never bothered to buy one, but is this one TRUELY an original?

Per the subject; no need to go much further other than for a 65-68 -era C-4 automatic.

While looking through things going to recycling I found this; thought if it's a interest, I could provide the entire article-- a six page how to break-down and rebuild the pesty little buggers

From this recently compiled descriptions of iterations of intakes versus VIN, I believe I need a S2MS-9424-A intake where the COBRA nameplate was cast as a full rectangle (where-as most have clipped the 'A' for increased distributor clearance).

Up For Auction / 66 Cobra Tach (early) 6k OTC
February 02, 2019, 11:39:57 AM
Have not seen one of these before with the badge in the sweep area

eBay item number:  292938803299

here is a tach that was purchased from ford years ago and installed. the car was wrecked but the owner removed the tach and put it back in the box where it sat in his closet until now. it has the column mount on it but also has the unused dash bracket as well. this has been untested but I can't see why it would not work as it has been inside all these years. look at the pictures of the box because it does have faded writing on it as well as the 6 in the part number has been marked with a marker. C6AZ-17A 326-A

Starting bid:US $800.00

The above 'sticker' (lacking a better description) is said by the vendor to have been used through the '65 and into the early '66 production.  They are generally quite accurate in their products.  If this is true of this radiator cap top, how far into the line was it observed?

$125 SUN-X, SUN VISOR, Dated 7G, Nashville plant Carlite. 51 1/2 years old, no more than 16k miles. I did not clean before picture. Still installed, awaiting buyer.  A couple of stories describing this windshield; take your pick:

1.  A large, loaded Canadian goose had just finished successfully dive bombing the Corvette convertible leading my car down PCH-1, but was unable to pull up soon enough to avoid my car.  Goose down not included in sale.

2. Ray Wolfe, Ray's Hi-Performance (formerly manager of Hi-Performance Motors, yes, THAT Hi-Performance Motors) purchased my car in late Sept 1967.  It's late, initial sale was due to some damage to the '66 to include a damaged windshield.

Last recorded mileage before Ray's purchase was 22.8k miles; car currently has about 38k miles. No streaks, scratches, rubs, repairs, bulls-eyes, significant chips or flakes; just average wear for windshield with this number of miles.  Looking to put a date-coded windshield in my car-- going repop.

$125 plus ride and insurance. Tom Kubler San Antonio, TX 160 character text to 80sicks-3too4-30for3 or message tjinsaATyahoodotcom. price will be adjusted as market established, but if I say it's yours; it's yours.  I'm in no rush to remove the glass, I can hold on to it for an extended period of time before I start my own repaint. Will ship in same material my new windshield arrives in.
