I wasn't able to attend SAAC-47 in person, but have combed through other people's webphotos to identify all the original Cobras that were at the event. Did I miss any?

What were the CSX4000/6000 chassis numbers for these two continuation-series 427 Cobras? (photos by Bill Cook)

Yellow GT350 convertible....with a lot of character!

I pulled that car out of a barn in Lake Cumberland Kentucky in the 2000's. It had been in the barn since the early 1970's. I sold it to a Mopar guy, now one of the guys in our local SAAC club owns it. It only had 15,000 original miles on it when I pulled it out of the barn, and it is loaded with options. It also had lots of NOS parts in the back seat, and in the trunk.

SAAC-47 / Re: SAAC47 Host Hotel
March 19, 2022, 06:10:01 AM
I am staying at the Comfort Inn & Suites, in the nice upscale area of Brownsburg, just 10 minutes straight west of the Speedway. Really nice hotel, clean safe area, lots of restaurants within walking distance, and they cater to the car crowd. Host hotel is not in a good area, right on the borderline of some of the worst areas of Indianapolis, and not even to talk about the traffic, due to the airport. Good luck!

Bob is so right. My friend has a picture of his Cobra on the ramp door, and the sides of his enclosed trailer. I said to him, do you really think that is smart. I would never do that, in cognito.

I think June 16 to 18th is also a SVRA event at Indy.

Anyone from Indy area that can recommend a decent hotel, as my search has indicated most hotels in the immediate area of the host hotel are not highly rated? Not sure what the SAAC rate will be, but $275/night is out of my budget. Still deciding if I'll drive my car from Florida or trailer, so I can run one open track session. Anyone from Florida driving or wants to caravan? Will be leaving from the Daytona Beach area if all works out.

Don
gt350bpHi Don, I will be staying at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Brownsburg, $125.00-$138.00 a night. It's a very nice hotel. It is directly west of the speedway, about 10 minutes, right off of I-74. Nice area, plenty of restaurants. The area where the host hotel, is not a good area, and you also have to deal with the airport traffic. I have trouble understanding why they choose a hotel in this area again. Brownsburg is a very nice, clean, safe town, and they cater to the automotive crowd. You have a lot of race teams in Brownsburg, John Force, just being one of them. Many car clubs use the Brownsburg hotels for there events. Close to Raceway Park, the Speedway, downtown, etc. Hope this helps. Good luck.
