Original TS flasher was connected to the rear of the dash panel near the clock.  Twisted in with a 1/4 turn into a rectangular slot.   Don't know if Shelby changed the factory #224 (blue) flasher as was standard 67 Mustang.  A #323 may work better because of the 3 bulb tail lights as opposed to single bulb on production cars.  Both will twist into the slot.   The 4-way flasher was a heavier duty piece in a metal case attached to the LH side above pedal support.

I ended up sealing the entire panel and tail light area with a big gasket cut out of a truck inner tube.
Holes cut out for tail lights and held in the center by the lenses and gas cap.  Top is held to body with double sided tape and the rest just by the tail panel and studs.  ZERO fumes.

If your lid has nuts imbeded in the fiberglass it should have had the screw in bumpers.  Mine look like the one in your photo with a locking nut below the rubber.  Never saw one with the rubber off so can't say about concentric circles.

Mine look a lot like the hood bumpers on radiator support.   May be the same part?

Wanted to Buy / Re: 1967 GT 350 Dash Emblem

Any idea when change to raised from flat emblem?   Same time as Magstar center cap emblem?

Dosn't make sense to install headlights into the nosepiece if they were going to remove it again for paint?

These are metal framed hoods - second car shows underside painted.

Car appears to have the vinyl sheathing over the center headlight wiring which surprises me for such an early serial number.   No sheath on the amp gauge harness.

A couple other thoughts/questions ----

1.  Were there nodular castings made with and without the oil fill boss with same C4 AW-B marking?

2.  Was there a period in transition where some of the castings with the boss (single and double rib)  left undrilled for the plug when mated with a housing that had an oil filler plug?  (67 time period)

Oil pan looks like it sat down in the mud for quite some time while in the car.

I have another C5 Hex with SSC in a segmented circle in the manufacturers spot - also has the splits on the points.

I have 2  of what I believe to be assembly line (Hex style) PCV's marked

--- C5AE-6A666-B-C.S.CO.---   this is only marking.  Would you agree these are originals and

anyone know what C.S.CO. stands for?
