Wanted to Buy / exhaust manifold
July 21, 2019, 08:10:28 PM
don't laugh... I need a left side CJ manifold. Don't care about date codes, but need a fairly nice one that's not pitted all to hell.

Just a shot in the dark :)   Thanks

Appreciate the response !!

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / pertronics
July 10, 2019, 08:34:11 PM
Hi, working on a 69 CJ car. Trying to determine which wire at the ignition switch is a 12 volt "switched" source to run the Pertronics off of. On my 68 , 2185, I think it was the "c" post of the switch. Any ideas on where to tap a 12 volt switched lead ?

Thanks !

Man, I'd like one time, just to feel an earthquake, not saying that in a bad way, but I'm the kind of person that likes to feel natures power.

I felt the power of an oncoming hurricane here on the east coast and have been right in floods but at a safe distance and felt the vibration of an oncoming tornado.

I was watching the news just now of the eathquake and a woman sitting by the pool.......HOLY S***!!!   Man, I never knew earthquakes like that.  You see stores and items falling off shelves, bridges collapsing, etc,... But I always thought it was the constant vibrating/shaking that eventually made structures give way.

After watching the swimming pool video, I was floored!!
Several years back we had a minor quake about 45 miles east of my house. I was in the garage under the hood of 2185, when all of a sudden the rear end started bouncing up and down. I cussed at my son believing he had snuck up to back and was bouncing the car to screw with me. Shocked when I looked up and found no one in the garage! Confused and a little wierded out to say the least :) Found out later that is was the quake.

Good luck with your recovery ! Medical/health issues can rob us all of a lot of the fun of our car hobby. Take time to heal and get strong.

IMHO, there are good and "best" replacement components for the front suspension, and if replacing one, you may as well go all the way, (budget in mind ) Upper and lower control arms, tie rods and ends, idler arm, strut bushings , p/s control valve , shocks etc . All contribute to the driving and handling of the car. And a steering box re-build can't hurt. Again,  budget not withstanding. But doing it all will certainly result in a complete result.
