I would pull the trigger on Vernons carb. Think of it as an investment with compounding interest.

Keep your options open. Someone might trade you for your 67 unit. Originality tends to yield a higher valuation. Something to consider while moving forward.

Correctly dated parts isn't everyone's priority but if I were to happen to come across a closely dated carb I wouldn't ignore it.

Great info Bob. What do you think a good date range for that carb would be for a late Nov - mid Dec 65 build date? Preempting the next probable owner question.

According to the registry all automatic cars were built with the 460 CFM Autolite carb with manual choke.

Critter Creek Cougar has the white and green stripe vacuum line kits. Pre 69 version no printed part number on hose. Approx 1/4 ID and 7/16 OD. Generous length, might be able to do 2 cars. I would probably let the car owner have it back for what I had in it. Possibly they could come up with a trade for parts or another hipo block.

Sure your car could be the only one with a given set of popular options and an AM radio but      disregards the identical cars in all respects except built with an  AM-FM or AM-8track. Compared to a 69 GT vert with a SCJ 4 speed is more value relevant.

Pretty impressive considering the mods.

I am using the Pertronix with 32s and OEM coil. Works OK in my cars.
