Here's my pitch to anyone attending the convention.
Please take lots of photos and share them with those of us less fortunate not to be there?

I'm hoping to continue the annual tradition to ID all the '67s with exterior photos, VIN tags, engine & grille shots, and interior views too.
(Beggars can't be choosers, so I'd be happy to see any of them)

Any coverage of the other years and models would be greatly appreciated too.

Thanks.
Rich

I'll start on the '67s.  I have to say, there were not a lot of '67s there at the show.  Lots of '68s being the anniversary year, and lots of 65/66, but '67 was a bit underrepresented.

Cool Black modified GT350.  Sorry I didn't catch Vin #
Nice Green GT500 #0561

Towards the bottom of the description they state this car is one of only 35 shipped without the smog equipment.  Can't be true, is it?

Awesome suspension.  I'm putting a similar TCP front coil over in my tribute later this year.

What did you use for the rear coil over conversion?  I see the Strange axle, but wasn't aware of them doing a coil over conversion.  Was there significant fab involved?

Here is how my buddy Nick rolls.  I am pretty jealous.

I like it.  Thanks Brian.  I'll look for one of those.

Shelby_0022:  I wasn't even aware of those aluminum rims until someone started a thread about them on the pre-crash SAAC site.  If that was you, thanks for the tip!

I have a thing for black and gold....

Awesome collection!  What's the one on the far left?  Is that a GT500 Super Snake in black and gold?

Thanks Tony!

Bigfoot - Yah, those original style Goodyear E70s look out of place in comparison.  Thinking of getting a set of Legendary Wheel Mag Star replicas with wider tires for fun cruising and keeping those for show.  Just debating whether I have room in the garage to have both.

Here's my 2017 Super Snake at Norcal Mini Nats last year.  Mustang was a 2015, so CSM# is a 2015.

Well... in their defense, I only see the 68 GT350 version available on The Scott Drake web site and only the GT500KR Cobra Jet version on Cobranda.  Maybe this particular one is out of production and they were struggling to find this one to complete their tribute or restoration.

Thanks Bob!  I'll track down a C6AA and see if I can find the right hoses

Wow Eric, you really grew up with that car.  Pretty cool.

+1 again.  Cool seeing your pic just the day before on Mustang 360 as an example of the right way to photograph your car.

Those 68 wheels it came with must have been a popular upgrade back in the day.  My 67 red fastback (non Shelby) had them when I bought it, too.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / P/S Cooling
January 21, 2018, 11:55:15 PM
Hi All.  My 67 GT350 does not have the cooling loop on the power steering.  I thought all 67 GT350s and GT500s came with this.  I looked up the part # in SAAC registry and bought the cooler (P/N C6AZ-3D746-A, this one stamped C5AA-3D746C).

1) Am I correct that all 67s had this power steering cooler?  Or is it possible this was an option mine did not have from Shelby?

2) Assuming I should have it, any suggestions where to track down the additional hoses needed to install the cooling loop?

Thanks,

John
