According to the latest '67 Registry it's owned by Tom Kuhn in Huntington Beach CA, purchased from Rick Glover on 07/05/89

I believe the car is usually displayed in the Shelby Museum in Las Vegas. it is there right now, and it is beautiful. Gary told me a couple years ago that it had been in his wife's family since new. Sounds like she'd be the perfect wife!

Turned out to be a pretty decent day weatherwise and the number of cars that showed up was surprising. The panel discussion was interesting and went on for about an hour. Aaron Shelby, Gary Patterson, Bruce Meyer, Lance Stander, and Tracy L. Smith. They all had some interesting stories to tell. There were no '67 or '68 Shelbys and only one '69. The only time I've been to a show where there were more '65's than 67's, 68's, 69's and 70's! I didn't take a bunch of photos, but here's a few.

Is anyone on the forum planning on attending this event in Los Angeles on Sunday January 21st? Anyone been to it in the past?

I used to really like that event, it used to have a great turnout with many real cobra's and Shelby Mustangs. If I had not escaped California and didn't fear stepping in a little fecal matter I would still go.

;D    I'll wear boots!

Prior owner in CA added a dome instead of a scoop. Was changed quickly.

Was there damage that was being repaired, or why was the hood replaced? I assume the original hood would not have had a scoop since that's the way it is now?

I posted these pictures a couple years ago of CSX 3134 that I took back in about 1979. In more recent pictures that I've seen of the car it has a plain hood with no scoop, in these pics I took it had a little bubble on the hood. I believe the car is now owned by Colin Comer, or was a few years ago. Is it known as to why this hood was put on the car at some point, and did the bubble serve a purpose?

Is there somewhere a person can get more details? Pricing, schedule of events etc? The person responding to questions on the Team Shelby Facebook page was very vague and offered no details.

Where is the Team Shelby Bash being held? Vegas?

I purchased this car a few months back and am trying to find some background info on it. It was originally sold in Utah and was registered in Sandy. It has a clean Carfax, but shows its had 10 owners including myself! It went from Utah to Great Falls Montana in 2011 and stayed in that area until it went to Missoula a couple years ago.  The decklid has been repainted and looks as though someone may have had a Fast and Furious type spoiler or something on it at one time as there is evidence of holes having been filled. It now has a 6 cyl or GT500 type spoiler on it. The hood appears to have been painted as well. Im assuming these cars were delivered to Shelby completely painted and they just added the stripes and hood scoops, correct? If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

They called them a Statement of Value at the time. Mine from 2008 is attached

I don't remember appraisals ever being a perk of membership. A "real" appraisal requires an in person inspection not someone saying they are worth X in Y condition. They would put you in touch with a local expert who could do it. Some didn't charge some did. The registrar will confirm if the Ford VIN and Shelby VIN you provide left SA together.
They still do 4 issues a year that you can view/download online and they send you a printed annual with all 4 issues yearly.
When it started in 1975 we got 6 issues per year. Still have Vol.1 No.1 through today along with most of the Snake Bite bulletins which was a monthly for sale sheet.

I have an appraisal from SAAC for my '67 GT500 from probably 20-25 years go, so I know they used to provide them.

I remember years ago one of the perks of being a member was an appraisal for insurance purposes was offered. Is that still available?
