The donation route is a possibility.  Remember, the 67 prototype of Lowell Otter's came through that route.  But, like a lot of "coupe" things, dime-a -dozen....crush it.  Would be excellent if found still around.

After reading the replies here, I am not so sure about the "Didn't add value" comments from the few cars I've seen advertised in Hemmings and other resources.
Why, from what I've seen, is the extra, and I mean way extra, asking price over and above the cost for the Paxton plus labor (if done at a shop) is beyond me.

IF, you haven't read the three or four pages about Lil'Red in the GT/CS registry you might be projecting mis-information into the Lil'Red story.
Surely it had some time as a regular GT 500 coupe before the modifications started.  As in the supercharger installation for the Los Angeles Auto show..  It was sent to Dearborn to the styling center.  Might not have ever gone back to California as the Airport plant was shutting down.
Let's hope somebody bricked it up into a wall like that short 65 Fastback protoype that came out a few yaers back.

Are you talking about the triple play deal?  The 68, a 39/40 convertible, and one other?

Ditto on an F-150 with Ecoboost.  Pulls fine, has big enough brakes.  You can check the build list to see the trailer towing capacity before you buy.

Try asking Bob at Chrome tech.  Might be www.ChromeTech.com

#0036's are like Alan's.  Slotted heads.  Bet they used what they had.

Not mentioned:  the chrome is cut off 65/66 Mustang GT rear valance trim.

I just wanted to share this.  Here is an original Magstar rim which was purchased back in 1968.  The seller informed me that his father was the original owner of a 67 GT350, and that he ordered 2 extra rims from the dealer to mount snow tires.  One was lost, but might still be at his fathers house which he will look for.  I thought this was interesting in 2 ways.  First, it shows the color of the raw metal centers on an early version of the rim.  Second, I've never seen an original box before.   Pretty cool.  The seller told me he was going to mount it on the wall, and use the rim to coil his garden hose around.  He certainly would have had the coolest garden feature in his neighborhood. ;)

  Thank you.  Lets remember this.

The chat over the lower grill.  Hardly an original car due to the LeMans stripes and also no lower rivets in the fiberglass to the lower frame rail.  Yep, very early cars did not get them.
Also:  Can we start to mention some kind of date to the other photos.  Here is why: some of the fasteners are painted.  Should they be, or should they not be?  In years to come, folks are going to want to know,

I've been to a few SAAC conventions.  Never seen a 67 or 68 except here on the forum in photos.  At the most of the conventions, there has been at least one 69 de Mexico.  Gee, don't recall one at SAAC 42 either.
Add to the colors shown: Brittany blue (or whatever light blue color they called it in '69)

And you can have to wheel cylinder sleeved to the correct size if time has caught up with the surface.  And if you have original cylinders in order to keep the smaller bleeder.

OK, here is the next question: what is the backing plate number for the 10 X 2 1/2" brakes?

Just wondering. I know the early GT500s had the little red marker lights next to the fake air scoops. Did the 350s have them as well?

Ah, that is "eye level brake and turn signals" according to the early 67 Shelby sales literature.

"C'mon...."  How about the part number info, and the Modine letter info, and the stick or auto info.  Gotta ask as this is the Forum rebuilding period.

There is no better time to the rounds than after the restoration.

It is VERY important to pay attention to the S/A completion date so as not to get confused as to how they did not complete the cars in strict VIN numerical order.
