1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Dads Car

Alex, you posted in the correct place.  The information in the registry is from the people who sent in the information.  Some owners are studious about this, and, they'll send in an update from time to time.  And this is why a say often that, there is NOTHING preventing someone sending to the registrar that YOU sold the car, and to whom.   And also NOTHING preventing YOU sending information to the registrar that you bought one.  IF you do not want this information released to the public, tell that to the registrar. There are numerous cars with the owners name blanked out in the registry.
Keep the information current.

You never know.  The owner just might contact SAAC with new information, and, might see this post.

I've been in a couple of judging situations where the item was suggested to be "Dealer installed".  O-K then, show me the receipt.

Define what harnesses.  Ford did not change the production Mustang harnesses with any tubing.  They did use a wire wrap that did not have any sticky/glue on one side (like electrical tape has).  Ford did, or S/A did: unwrapped the section down where the splices for the high beam Scotch slices where.
But, do you mean the late cars that had the tubing for just the ammeter wires that go from the junction block to inside the car to the gauges?

 RE: reply #183:
Wondering how accurate the Econoline could be as I've never seen a CS van with a black painted lower section.  If I saw one though, I'd still likely buy this.

Take note:  The crimp-clamps go forward of radiator core support.

All cool.  Check out the cowl stamping or repair on the right side of the cowl.  Wow.

I don't know.  On #0036, when it went bad about 6-7 years back I just bought another Autolite one on Ebay.  It fit and works.

A little "wow, what the heck?"  Look at the eBay listing.  The engine compartment one showing the brake booster.  Oh-oh, two holes in the cowl above the brake booster, just exactly like my real one.

It's simply hard to believe that people will take the time and effort to fake an entire Shelby car and yet no one has the gumption to legitimately make a concourse correct Group 22 and Group 24 battery.

QSS

Define who is going to declare what is the absolute Concours acceptance criteria...before everybody buys one.

GT 500= 428 Police interceptor based engine, KR = 428 Cobra Jet based engine.  Top of the line

Yes. The early slant mounted, center beams type the very early cars got.  And it is the one piece type.

04/01/2018 UPDATE:  I followed up on the lead that Bob posted.  Mike Patak at Mikes Classic cars.  Well, he did not have any and suggested I call Jeff at Semo Mustang.  Did that.  Jeff had one and now I have one.  Jeff said that, these are very rare and the next time he has some made, it will not be many as so few get requested.  He does not want to have this kind of inventory laying around for years.
My suggestion is that if you think you will ever want one, call Jeff at Semo Mustang and request one for the next order.  Jeff did not say when, if ever, that will be.

Trying to figure out the approximate time they went from Fomoco to Autolite on the  breather caps for a GT350  or 500.  Im guessing it was pretty early

I think Jim is looking for a range - serial or build date wise - so as to post the correct cap in the rules, or, on a restoration he is doing.
