I dunno, seems you either ignore the speed limit signs or you get run over.
  (except in school speed zones)

News from HQ / Re: Checkered Flag - Dave Mathews

Condolences to the family.  What a treasure to us 67 owners.  IF there was a 67 Shelby museum, a statue of Dave would be there at the entrance.
  I'm bummed.....

Hmmm.  So blocking off the bypass hose is an improvement in their thought.
Meanwhile, if no coolant is moving, what is prevent "hotspots" inside the block and heads?

Was there last year.  There was some "good stuff" for sale outside at the swap meet area.  Hope way more cars show up for the outside display.

Can't remember where, but I had a similar issue with spinning carriage bolts.
I used appropriately size wire cutters to pinch the size of the head and hold the head from spinning.
Yeah, might leave a minor mark but it is at least not welding anything to the top.

Thanks for the low vacuum replies.
Now, how about some camshaft thoughts....
#8
Well, they were installed unpainted, and look where they are, right in the tire splash area.
Gotta say, most tribute builds leave them off....Wonder what Revology does?

Good points but yes, it has the C6.
There seems to be only 1 adjustable Module for these.  It has that adjustable screw inside to adjust it.  Problem is, it is made for all the street cars with stock cams.  So, the spring inside is set for a higher vacuum.
Those later -73 and newer cars have the Module type that locks in with a clip.  The 66-73 cars have the Module that threads into the case.  The later ones come in 3-4 different spring settings.

Another thing: Is there a stock 67 390 GT cam kit that comes as a roller?  Seems that is what came in a 67 Shelby GT 500 428.

Well, just chewing on this for a winter project.  I have built my tribute car with a proprietary spec cam that has low idle vacuum.  Since it is an automatic car, the trans upshifts are late (out of wack) and the brake pedal could use a little more vacuum.  At idle vacuum is 14.5-15.
Really not wanting to change away from my roller lifters, so, got to be a roller cam.
Yeah, great power when you are on it.  Just a little more street manners are wanted.  It idles smoothly.
What does anyone have?  And where to get it.

Just adding: Bob is correct, but that is in SAAC or MCA concours events.  Others might overlook it.

Take no offense.  I just wanted to know where or why these questions are coming from.  Thanks.

Read the comments as I often do.  Who is this "Shelbyman70" that seems to comment on every Shelby being auctioned?
