SAAC-49 / Re: Saturday Car Show Results

Thanks to all who voted for our 68 and 1/2 Mustang 428 Cobra Jet GT. Unfortunately as soon as I pulled the car out of the trailer Friday morning I grabbed my chairs stepped out of my trailer door right into a divot in the grass fell down and broke my right ankle and sprained my left ankle. But that didn't stop me from taking my five parade laps around the track and going to the Friday dinner and show Saturday and driving all the way home Sunday with a broken ankle. I found out it was broken Sunday when I went to the hospital after I got home. So for those of you who didn't vote in the top 25 I managed to do it with a broken ankle.🙂

Wow that's a tough start , you do have one beautiful car , Congrats  :)

If the needle rests below "0" at rest it sounds like speedo head problem , fix that first before playing with gears.

What Bob said == (Start with 5 Qts run the engine then check and only add oil if needed.)

It's that simple ...

What is the guy that does all the work on the car say ????      You can install longer shackles on LR spring just like in old days  ;)

Quote from: Steve Meltzer on April 30, 2024, 09:47:22 PMSince it's leaning to the left side, I suspect it's political in origin.
I never thought of it that way but but it could be true  ??? Yes it is possible to perform  a good alignment with that much ride height difference ( did the pro give you print out of the results? not that makes too much difference because it can be manipulated ) 2 options === Replace the springs or leave it alone. I do think that most manufacturers would consider that as acceptable.

I told you so  ;) It was probably leaning when you bought just didn't notice it. Why is it always the left side?

Lower on the left side ? Lift the rear side of the lower side and recheck front height, problem maybe caused by rear spring sagging .
