Going through a 289 I put together many years ago that has a B302 windage tray set-up. What are the correct grade, length and washer configuration for Boss302 windage tray mounting bolts. Have the correct main cap bolts with 5/16-24 tapped holes. Originally assembled with some parts store Grade 5, 3/4" long, with split locks and flat washers.  The Monroe book says 35-40 foot lbs. Got up to 30ft-lbs but and it just didn't feel right so I figured better to make sure I have the right hardware. Seems a little on the heavy side. What say those who with experience in these matters? Thanks. Brian

Just did a post and the picture that I linked from my gallery came out as big as a bed sheet. Are there any tutorials on how to resize images. Thanks. Brian

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 67 Inboard grill, original?
April 12, 2018, 11:22:58 AM
Has anyone ever seen an original 67 inboard headlight grill with the mesh off center like the one in the picture? Part has been with car since I bought it in early 1982. Car does have some front end history so wondering if it's an actual Ford/Shelby replacement part or early repop. Thanks Brian

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Torq Thrust D backspacing
April 10, 2018, 07:19:57 PM
I see that the 15x7's are offered with 3.75" backspacing while the Shelby Magstars have 4.125" backspacing. How would the 3/8" difference affect tire selection and fit with respect to wheel well and fender clearance? Thanks. Brian

Would a service replacement 289 Hipo motor, circa early 70s, have come with Boss302 rods or 289HP rods. 289HP or 302Mexican block? Thanks. Brian
