Up For Auction / Re: Pookie is at it again.

All I know is I used a lawyer to try and recoup $45k from a guy in Florida. The lawyer explained I had a pretty open and shut case....at $175 and hour. Tried to get him to sign a payment agreement stating exactly what he promised to do....at $175 an hour. Then he wouldn't sign it. So the lawyer said I could probably get a judgement for the money costing circa $20k and then said at the point where I win I then had to collect....and he probably would never pay.

Never met Rick in person but always an awesome guy by Email. Best wishes for a speedy recovery

My dad had heart valve surgery 3 days ago and sounds fantastic so hopefully similar results with Rick and he is back at full strength in short order.

cheers. Peter

Hello Folks

Along with everyone else in the world I am looking for 1967/68 Fastbacks

From non running project to real nice driver quality cars

I don't have a market for concourse stuff

A or C code project to real nice drivers. Project T codes, Do not care at all what the colour or interior used to be. I care what the car looks like now.

I can't pay full retail but being in Europe I can pay good money. I won't mess you about, if I am interested I will tell you immediately and if we can come to a financial agreement I have fund now, not in a month or after I sell grandmas house.

Troy K on here can vouch for me.

Thanks folks. Peter

Thanks for posting, real cool story

Thanks All.

The second one was more or less as expected. Which is a relief

I am starting to think everyone, when selling a car, bend the truth. I can deal with a certain level of issues, You would be foolish to think an old car is perfect. They all have issues but some are a bit of a shock.

Cheers once again, Onwards and upwards

Well I received one of the cars.

Shame it was so badly described

"some of the nicest original floors I have ever seen" was the description. I need to post up some photos to show you how "sweet these are"

Oh and the torque thrust wheels seem to have dissolved into Rusty steelies on the boat ride over.

I am highly disappointed as this was not just some schlub you find on Ebay.

Onwards and upwards.

I will fix the floors and put on some new wheels.

Cheers once again for the offers of help during the main part of the agro

Got the second one coming tomorrow. God knows the horrors that await

I feel your pain, I have 20 or so in the shop.....exxon Valdez comes to mind. As mentioned dipstick tube seal. But other times you can't get the pan to seal so we chuck on a new one. Good luck. Peter

Replicas and Tribute / Re: Fuel smell 68 fastback

Just finishing up the story on some of my older posts

On this particular car we resealed the tail light panel. We removed the light panel, As Bob mentioned the openings for the back of the lights were letting the fumes in, We taped heavy duty black plastic over the whole area and put the light panel back in and then trimmed carefully where the sockets for the lights came through and inserted into the light panel, the sockets pinned the plastic against the tail lamp housings and this cured the fumes immediately.
