Up For Auction / Re: Last first gen GT350 up for auction

The underside of this thing kinda reminds of the 1957 Plymouth Belvedere buried a half-century ago and unearthed in '07 out in Tulsa.

So 3 original 1967's left Lax, but a better question is currently how many owners now wrongly claim that their cars came with a 427 engine instead?  Quite a few I suspect unfortunately.  This is what makes the SAAC Registry and even The Shelby Research Group on Facebook so important.  It keeps people honest

This is a great video from a few years ago.  Jim Cowden's aluminum bodied GT40 replica.  Sweet.

Apologies if it's been posted before.

Dear Kent,

Welcome to America!  What dates to be plan to be here in the states?  Will you be traveling around North Carolina or just be staying in Wilmington?  If you decide to take a trip to Charlotte, a visit to the Mustang Owner's Museum would be worth your time.  I'm based out of Chapel Hill, but would love to meet up with you and talk Shelbys if at all possible.  My email is:  Bubbletime1@gmail.com

Original Shelby Cobra Grill 289 427

The holy Grail of Grills original 289 427 Cobra grill replaced by my father who bought 7 cars from Shelby America I have cancelled check with serial #'s two were factory race cars. This grill has scribed #97. Car was sold to the beach boy who drowned in the harbor in Los Angeles I think I can't guarantee it, but my dad had a strong relationship with Shelby buying parts and cars. Real story real part rough and pitted crooked and lovely! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to hit me up. Cheers.

If this can be documented it came off a car worth 5 million now.

US $19,289.00 or Best Offer

Yes, we all do.
Always a somber time seeing all the wonderful pics posted of the GT350 Tours he anchored.
We just did our 3rd annual 'Toast to Woody' last month at our old Watering Hole.... Kristopher's in Matthews.
Hard to believe it's been 3-years.... We Face-Timed his daughter Noel and everyone got to visit.

So good to hear that Mark.

I hope everyone is doing well, and that the holiday season hasn't stressed you out to the max, lol.  It's never to early to start to think about next years Shelby events in the Carolinas.  Since the Springtime event at the airport seems to be such a hit, we were thinking of continuing the streak, but we are open to any new suggestions to improve it overall.  Also, how about a fall event?  Thoughts?

Thanks to everyone who participated this year.  I finally got to see Corey B's beautiful '68 GT350 in person.  I haven't always been the biggest fan of Lime Gold, but his car looked absolutely amazing in the sun.  Parked next to him was a BlackJade '69 GT350 ragtop that has been in the original owner's family since new.  Both were awesome!
