There were multiple versions. First was a urethane or rubber painted silver scoop with a body color stripe in the center. These were riveted all the way around. They collapsed in the heat and the fix was a foam block that didn't solve the problem.  They then went to a fiberglass scoop that had faux rivets all around. Either had clips or studs and nuts to attach. At some point during the multiple versions they went from all rivets to 4 rivets on each corner with the remaining non functional, to all faux rivets with clips and studs as a method to attach. I restriped dozens of these cars under warranty when new, due to shelby using an intermediate grade silver vinyl which deteriorated rapidly outdoors.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: T10 identification

Cast iron. Going to look at it. Not in hand at the moment.  I thought the number of grooves helped indicate different sets of gears.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / T10 identification

I thought I remember reading if a t10 has 2 grooves in the main shaft, that's an indication of close ratio gears.  Does anyone know if this correct?  I've seen them with one groove and 2.

For what it's worth, even if you had the exact same paint out of the same can that the car was painted with, and you go to touch it up, it's not going to match.
Particularly with a metallic color.
You might want to try to find a local paint jobber ie a part store that mixes paints for body shops and see if they can mix it up in single stage for you.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Re: Brakes seized

Sorry i was thinking that the master cylinder was new and didn't read that properly. So you also have a piston with o-rings in your master cylinder as well so that could be. How old is everything?
Since you're able to open the line and the pistons release, it's probably not the caliper. Something is holding pressure somewhere.

One or both of 2 things. Either the calipers need rebuilt. Pistons are not retracting when pressure is released.  O rings have degraded not allowing the piston to slide properly .
Or rubber brake lines are collapsing on the inside not allowing the pressure to release.  When you opened the line it releases the pressure allowing the piston to back off.

Somewhere you've got something not allowing the pressure to release

Most of our rubber stuff made these days degraded much faster than the original from 60 years ago.

Just so you know in case you didn't, The 68 hood you have would be for a KR with the plenum underneath. I'm not up on the values but the plenum probably adds value over a non kr hood.

The African safari 350. Decaled up to look like a Zebra.  Roof rack with a spare tire on the roof. Steel wheels with snow tires on all 4 corners.  My favorite since my company is Zebra Stripes.
