At one point Fiberfab briefly rented warehouse space in Sacramento - late 60's or early 70's. It was next door to my father's business. The smell of fiberglass resin was horrendous. He and his business neighbors were happy when Fiberfab moved out.

The GT350 was initially homologated with 7.0" wheels. "Shelby Magic" with the SCCA since production GT350's had 6" wheels.  In 1967 and later the SCCA GCR was revised to allow wheels 1.5" wider than "stock", allowing Walt Hane to "legally" run an 8" wheel. My memory and understanding.

SCCA production car racing specification rules were established in the the GCR (General Competition Rules).  Up until the time I quit racing, 1972, they allowed cars to run wheels up to 1.5" over their stock dimension. After that I do not know what the rules were, but most GT350s were off track by then.

Ouch. On behalf of all the MBA's out there, it was engineers that designed the Tunnel Port. LOL

Loved it.  Realistic footage but the dialog-silent movie? Having spun at turn 6 too, it brought back memories of old Riverside.  Telephone poles and "tire launchers" illustrate minimal safety "back in the day."  Most talented driver on site was actually the crew member, Chuck Daigh. Thanks for sharing.

Have had my Cobra and Shelby for close to 60 years. This never came to mind. And the guys changing tires in the shops never brought it to my attention. LOL

At the same time CS got into this new venture, some of my Shelby's original parts disappeared in SoCal.  Coincidence?  I think not.
