Nine real magnesium BRM wheels (correct fit for GT40 MKI's) just listed in parts for sale.
#2
Nine GT40 MKI BRM magnesium wheels:

Two 14" wide (reproduction).
Three 12" wide (original).
Two 11" wide (original).
Two 10" wide (reproduction).

Removed from original 1966/69 GT40's campaigned on race tracks around the world.

Wheels have been carefully media blasted, baked and coated with PPG epoxy primer. This protects the magnesium against corrosion (process cost over $1000 for labor & materials).

Wheels have approximately 4.750" backspacing and 4.00" hub thickness.

Some small hammer marks and pits (expected since they were used on racing GT40's).  All wheels are free of any repairs or major damage, with the exception of one wheel with a small repair done decades ago on an inner edge.

Ready for paint (Gulf orange?) and polishing.

Asking price is approximately 1/3 of their new cost!  $7995 cash and carry.

FREE local pickup in Ocala, Florida from 12/23/24 through 12/29/24.  I can store the wheels for you for up to 30 days.

I will be in Ocala Florida 12/23 through 12/28 if you want to grab some rare GT40 wheels and enjoy the warm Florida temps.

If you prefer to send a check, wire or PayPal, I will ship all nine wheels via UPS insured for $595 to continental USA locations.  Any excess shipping charges will be refunded to you.  No overseas sales or shipping.

Hard to find acrylic lacquer paint for 1960's FoMoCo/Shelby American vehicles.

Remaining inventory from 5 decades of Cobra, GT40 & Shelby restoration.   The original cost over $4000.  The equivalent 2024 cost is many times my asking price.

Wimbledon White code M (4 gallons)
Candyapple Red code T (2 gallons)
Guardsman Blue code F (5 gallons)
Gulf GT40 orange (2 quarts)

The paint has been properly stored and unopened since I purchased it decades ago.  After mixing with thinner, each gallon of paint will give you 2 to 2.5 gallons of ready to spray paint.  Total of 23 to 28.5 gallons.

Selling as one lot only, no separation.

Your Cobra, GT40 and Shelby GT350 (stripes) deserves an authentic restoration using OEM materials. Knowledgeable SAAC and major concours judges know the difference!

Accepting the best offer over $2500.

Free local pickup in Ocala, Florida.  I travel a lot, so there may be a delay in shipping,  If you need a quicker pickup time, please contact me to discuss. No shipping.

Pic of an original 427 Cobra left door latch area.  Not what many people would call "concours correct" today.

NINE 1968-69 GULF GT40 Magnesium BRM wheels for sale as one lot.

Two 14" wide (newer reproduction).
Three 12" wide (original).
Two 11" wide (original).
Two 10" wide (newer reproduction).

All of these wheels came off of original 1960's GT40's campaigned on race tracks around the world.

Wheels have approx 4.750" backspacing and 3.75" to 4.00" hub thickness.

Each one was carefully media blasted, heated and sealed with PPG epoxy primer to protect the magnesium against corrosion (process cost in excess of $1000 for labor & materials).

These wheels were used on 200mph+ GT40's and have some small hammer marks and pits.  BRM wheels are an extremely strong design.  All wheels are free of any repairs or damage, with the exception of one 10" wheel that had a small repair done decades ago on an inside bead lip.

Ready for final Gulf orange painting and/or polishing.

FREE local pickup in Ocala, Florida from 10/23/23 through 10/28/23.

I estimate packing of each wheel and insured UPS shipping (signature required) to continental USA locations will cost $595.  I don't make any money on shipping - any excess shipping charges will be refunded to you.  No overseas sales or shipping.

$7995.00  (a fraction of their new cost).

Rare, original Halibrand magnesium wheels. Very nice Dow 7 coating (as original).
Never any damage or repairs and very little surface pitting.  These are as close to "concours appearance" that you will probably ever find.

Wheel specifications:
15" diameter, 11" wide, 3.25" thick hubs, 5.125" back space.
Standard GT40 six pin pattern on 4.25" circle.

These may also fit the rear of a 289 or 427 comp Cobra???  Before bidding, make sure these will fit your application!  (It's your responsibility to check fender clearance, caliper clearance, suspension clearance, backspace, spinner thread depth, etc before buying, NOT after).  No returns.

$130 shipping to continental USA locations.  Any excess shipping charges will be refunded to you.  No overseas sales or shipping.

$2995 for the pair

Mecum sold one of these posters for over $3500 this summer (2023).

This poster is as nice (or nicer.)  Ready for display in a collector's office or garage.

One of the most iconic Shelby American posters ever produced.  Celebration of the three 1963 Cobra championships.  Designed by Pete Brock, these 1963 posters were supplied to SAI dealers and sold through the mail to Cobra enthusiasts.

This is one of the posters mailed to individuals back in the day.  I personally unfolded it from it's original mailer decades ago and had the poster framed and glass covered for preservation.

Guaranteed to be the real deal or your money back.

Rare - original - unfaded - no thumb tack holes - no creases (other than those made when SAI folded it for mailing) - in other words, the rarest of the rare.

It's framed and glass, so I estimate it will cost $125 for packaging and insured UPS shipping (signature required) to continental USA locations.  Any excess shipping charges will be refunded to you.  Due to the fragile nature of this historic item, NO overseas buyers or shipping.

If seriously interested, please email me for photos and/or with your questions:  galtsgulch2@bellsouth.net

Looking to buy an original mid 1960's Autolite transistorized ignition amplifier XF-172234 in good working condition.  Note, the XF amplifier is shaped differently than the OEM Galaxy amplifier - the XF-172234 unit looks similar to a Boss 302 rev limiter. Thanks!

2019 Amelia Island Concours offered attendees & racing enthusiasts (especially of the GT40 persuasion) a rare opportunity:

Six time LeMans winner(!) Jacky Ickx was re-united with a bunch of his former race cars.  Two of the cars were Gulf GT40P/1075 (1968/69 LeMans winner) and prototype Gulf GT40P/1049 (1967 Daytona class winner).  Iconic driver and race cars.
