1965 GT350/R-Model / R model seat
January 05, 2026, 12:34:22 AM
Hello,

I have what I think is a reproduction of the original R model seat in fiberglass. The mounting frame is glassed onto the seat itself. Before I go pulling my current standard seat out of the car, I was wanting to know if these R model seats are designed to work with the factory seat sliders or if fabrication is required?

1965 GT350/R-Model / R Model side windows
September 05, 2025, 08:50:12 PM
I am looking for some info on the installation of the R model plexiglass side windows and frames. Do they simply bolt on to the door in the factory locations or are they welded in?

Also can anyone tell me whether the rivets for the 1/4 vent delete covers were painted body color or left in raw aluminium on the original cars?

Thanks

1965 GT350/R-Model / ‘65 GT350 side exhaust pics wanted
December 17, 2024, 10:24:51 PM
I a glass pack side exhaust from Cobranda for my Shelby clone. I am looking for some detailed photos to show where and how the exhaust is hung from the underside of the car as well as how far the side pipes extrude from the rocker panels. I would like to mount the exhaust like Shelby did back in the day. Appreciate any info and pics.

I have gone with 2.25 inch as my existing exhaust is larger than the original 2 inch, though I don't foresee this creating any issues.

Thanks

Parts For Sale / 1966 Shelby original leaf springs
December 16, 2024, 04:38:49 AM
I am relatively new to SAAC forum. Thanks for having me. I am also a member on Vintage Mustang forums where I have shared many pics of my '66 Shelby clone.

I have for sale, a set of original leaf springs from a 1966 Shelby GT350.. These parts were fitted to my 1966 Shelby clone when it was restored in Oklahoma in the early 2000s. At that time, the owner of my clone purchased a real Shelby and fitted these old springs to the clone after upgrading to new springs with the Shelby.

The stampings on both springs read:

C4ZA-5556-S
16 6E

The springs are a matching pair and complete. They are located in Australia and are currently off the car.  I understand most people only require the bottom plates for the stampings. This will also make shipping far more economical. Happy to work with interested parties on the best way to ship, also happy to disassemble the springs to make shipping more economical.

Asking $1350 USD + shipping. Payment via PayPal friends and family or buyer to add fees.
