I just picked up this transmission. Was it ever used in anything except a very early 1964 hipo mustang? Not sure what to do with it. Mark

FLASHING Yellow Alert / Scammer
October 29, 2025, 01:22:55 PM
"Hoploer" may be a scammer. He is trying to sell me a Hipo camshaft from Marv's mustangs. I have found it for sale online in the past where someone lost their money.

This is a pretty cool project if someone is looking for something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I just took the 5 bolt hipo engine to my engine builder to have it freshened up. I am taking the toploader close ratio trans to Craig Conley to have him go through it. There was one small rust are in the floor which we have repaired. Complete hipo drive train included. Can be seen at my shop n El Cajon, Ca. Mark 619 997-9954

Shelby American Racing / ownership of 6s1432
July 26, 2025, 05:09:34 PM
I am pretty sure Jim Bridges owned 6s1432 in the 80's. His SVRA logbook ends in 1989. John Baldwin bought it in 2009. Trying to find out who owned it during the 90's and 2000's. It probably appeared like the attached picture; Ownership would have been in the Southeast. Just trying to put the history together.

Shelby American Racing / old race photos

I have come across some old race photos. Can anyone identify the track or the cars. These were probably between 1969 and 1975 in the southeast.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / gt350 title
June 25, 2025, 11:36:26 AM
Will the title on a hertz car designate gt350H or should it just be gt350?

6s1432 has a fairly extensive race history. It started racing in 1969 mostly in North Carolina and surrounding states. Tracks include  Daytona, Sebring, we believe Indianapolis speedway, Amelia Island, Savanna and several other East coast and southern tracks. I will be trying to document the history of the car. The plan is to get it on all of the west coast tracks. I hope to have it at the 50th SAAAC convention. I have reached out to Craig Conley about helping me with race prep. I am very excited about the purchase. I have attached some pictures (with permission from the photographer) taken at the Daytona Historic race in 2015.

Wanted to Buy / 1966 gt350
April 18, 2025, 02:39:42 PM
Still looking for a 66 shelby to replace one I sold years ago. Not looking for a show car. Would be driven fairly extensively. Would prefer a 4 speed car. Repairs are not a problem if necessary. I own a restoration shop with inhouse body and paint and a team of mechanics. If you have something please reply by private mail or call me.  Will pay fair price depending on condition. Craig is also trying to help me. Thank you for your consideration. Mark in San Diego. 619 997-9954

5S433 is coming up for auction at Mecum in Glendale. Curious how a "rebody" will affect the value of this car. Anyone have any experience? Have any sold like this? Looks like a very nice gt350...
