I was having issue with detonating at WOT.  Went to drain the fuel and notice my tank was dented in.  My issue with detonation at wot was the car was staving for fuel.  The gas cap is always hard to open and has a rubber gasket around it.  The builder put a piece of rubber around it not allowing it to vent.  Does the gas cap on these car allow for venting or should they have a fuel pickup with a vent tube?  With out the gasket on cap I would worry about slosh on acceleration. I'm having a issue with my car detonation at WOT.  If you ease into the second carb it fine, it's only when you stomp on it.  I have a 428pi with bk/bj carbs and the cam below.  Dual point mechanical advance only dist. 35* total dwell.  6* intial timing/32* all in timing.  C7AE factory ford cast iron heads.  Less than 5% leak down, 230-240- psi compression numbers.  Idels currently at 17" of vacuum at 850 rpms.  3.50 rear gear if important. Currently running 92 octane pump gas.  Didn't know if the fuel is the issue and should be running 106 or a carb issue or something else.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.  Compression is about 10:5.

I have two different styles of 3/4" lug wrenches for mag star wheels.  One has no holes in the handle and the other has holes going thru the middle of the handle. Did the original handles have holes in the handle?You cannot view this attachment.

I just finished restoring my GT500.  I was thinking about putting a protective wrap on my car since I will be driving it a lot.  Has anyone used these protective wraps?  Pros and Cons.

I'm in need of a couple items to finish off a restoration.  I need a jack, wrench, tie down hardware, and one Magstar rim. I believe 3/4" is the correct size drive.  Also, still looking for one lower passenger sst deluxe seat tirm.

I'm looking to restore my 67 gt500 next year.  Looking for a list of recommendations for a full restoration back to original.  Not interest in a restomod.  I'm located in central Illinois, but willing to ship it anywhere in the lower 48 for the right person.  Just bought the car last year and haven't had a lot of free time up to this point to research.  Any and all suggestion are appreciated.  Thanks.

I just bought a 1967 GT500 car # 3083.  I'm looking for an original hood and hinges.  Also need a deck lid, grill, and front panel emblems.  The front bucket seat are not original either .  It's a little rough but restoring to original.  Not going to be a trailer queen but a driver.  Thanks for any help!
