Well I figured I would give an update, I now have the block, anyone know what the 0 before the C5AE stands for ? The block is filthy but standard.

Looking for some opinions - I located my original numbers matching block, What value would members here think that would add to the car? He is asking more than 7 times a 289 block value and it would need to be rebuilt.

I went from the normal cars and coffee in Henderson over to the Shelby cars and coffee in Vegas- mostly newer Shelby cars and kit cobras but still cool - they all appreciated the 69 - hard to believe there are not more Shelby's here in Vegas? At least down here they know what the gt500 is, when I had it up north in Reno people thought it was a custom car ??? Oh in Reno 6S853 is a red mustang.

Up For Auction / Owner of SFM6S1533 here ?
September 23, 2021, 07:07:11 PM
Looks like a bogus sales add listing 6S1533 for sale, anyone know the owner ?

I have recently seen a number of wanted posts for 66 gt350's, the common thread is that the people posting these wants (for the most part) are looking for a car below it's market value, in some cases less then 50% of market value.

The question is, would owners here on the saac forum sell their car for a reduce price because the buyer is on the saac forum as well?

Hi all, debating on a t5 conversion so I am looking for some who has done it.

I would be going from a t10 to a t5z and I want to use the adaptor plate so I can run the original bellhousing and linkage.

Questions:

Do I need to shorten the drive shaft ? If so by how much ? or is there an aftermarket bolt in?

Does the trans tunnel or shifter opining need to be modified?

What conversion kit did you use?

Thanks!

Hi all,

so the calipers knocked off the stick on weights again, this is the second time using the thinnest weights. Has anyone had success with wheel weights on 10 spoke Shelby wheels, if so can you post a photo of the weights you used..

Thanks

I must first start with the good quality reproduction gas gap that always bothered me because the snake looks to be missing a chromosome. So the hunt began for a NOS service part  S2MS-9030-A, it didn't take long before it was in my hands and on the car. To my surprise when they made the cap they put it together wrong and the snake was upside down! I compared it to the old and thought no big deal I'll just bend the large tab and spin it around, no dice! The stud for the cable prevented the cap from rotating to the upright position, oh and the tab snapped off. So out came the Dremel and off came the studs that hold the cap together. I re-drilled the mounting holes, used the miller 211 to weld on new mounting ears and weld the ends of the mounting studs to hold the cap together again and voila ! A nos-ish pos part...... But at least the snake looks healthy.
