Parts For Sale / 1969 Cobrajet carbs

I realized a few months ago that I have accumulated too many cores.
I'm slowly restoring a few here and there while running through customer mail ins.

Anyway:

C5AF-9510-BD -BC 3300/3301 502/503 date
$2750
Fully restored by me

Build thread:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.678554830943009&type=3&mibextid=ncKXMA

These were from my inventory.
A fella asked me to build them. He declined them when they were finished.
Inspect pictures carefully and/or ask questions.
There is some minor damage on them.

I'm about to test run them, but would rather have a customer lined up first.

Thanks!

Services Offered / Carburetor Rebuild videos/Classes
March 16, 2023, 10:20:49 AM
In my ever expanding quest to put myself out of business, I have begun shooting videos for all of the Ford factory carbs.

Plan was to have 5-6 hour videos for the following:

-Lemans bowl (so list 3259/3255 etc)
-Boss, Cobrajet, 390GT
-3x2
-2x4

The first one is completed. (Lemans)
https://www.afscarbs.com/challenge-page/7fe0b965-d034-438c-aa23-214347b1df39

The idea here, aside from selling the kits and parts for these, if you wish to rebuild your own, you have me walk you through it step by step.

Thanks

Services Offered / I like saving forgotten carbs

Dennis a SAAC member sent me a 3259-1 recently that was *cough* a little rough.
I felt it was worthy of sharing

In the course of doing restorations, I often have had thousands of custom parts made.
These were sitting in bins in my shop.
I've also gotten requests for rebuild kits and parts for the specific Ford carbs I work on, etc.
I decided it was time to get the stuff all listed for sale in one place.

https://www.afscarbs.com/

In the future I hope to have 5-6 hour rebuild videos available. I will continue to list parts as I have time (there are a ton of them).
Blog posts will be added with technical information periodically.

Check it out
Thanks

Parts For Sale / Shelby carburetors
July 04, 2021, 02:06:47 PM
I recently picked up 30-40 good cores from an old friend who is retiring.
many were from his time in the 60s that he has had around for a long time.

Anyway, doesn't do any good if they go from one shelf to another.
I am headed to work tomorrow and likely won't be able to start work on these for 6months to a year due to current workload, but I like to give people the chance to reserve the carbs.
Since I have one day left, I'll work on an inventory to help folks find what they are looking for, I'll post it later as a reply.

Prices given are for restored complete units, I do not sell cores.
S7SK-9510-A List 3926 Date 7B1  $1250
S8MS-9510-C List 4234 Date 823 $1200 RESERVED
S2MS-9510-A List 3259-1 Date 612 $2500 RESERVED

To repeat myself, these are not available today.  I never start work on a carb until I have a customer.  I am simply trying to see if anyone wants to reserve a specific carb for their project.  Once I have you on the list I will not sell it to anyone else.  I will contact you prior to starting work.

Thanks!

Drew

Parts For Sale / Ford/Shelby vacuum advance plugs
July 02, 2021, 05:51:46 PM
Yeah....
So I remember seeing a thread awhile back about finding original slotted vacuum advance plugs.
I have never had enough of them on hand to sell and barely enough to meet my own need.
The reproduction ones never looked right, too flat etc.

So I did the logical thing and had a cnc mill make a thousand.

If you want one, I'll be plating them tomorrow. $12 for each, can do better if you want to buy 10 or 100.

Pics:
-original installed
-Left to right, original, reproduction, the ones I had made
-ready to plate

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 3259-1 comparisons
June 21, 2020, 08:19:15 PM
Since the subject of carb parts came up recently.....

I still had these pics on my phone, I had 7, 3259 variants in my shop last month.
I compared two from forum members.

In this collection we see the three vs four digit date code.
Also the thickness of the choke horn casting.
Note the secondary squirter boss

Just that. I normally don't post a lot here, certainly not advertisement stuff as I'm normally too busy to bother with "drumming up work."
I'm just really proud of this project.

A member here sent me a 3259 which had been in a garage fire.
Honestly when I first got it, I was unsure there would be much I could do for it.
