Parts For Sale / 65-66 Ray Brown Three Inch Lap Belts
January 22, 2025, 03:21:07 PM
I have for sale two sets of original lap belts.

One set has the short, or butterfly hooks, and the other set has the longer style hooks.
Both sets are original Ray Brown tagged.
These have the correct chrome hardware.
Very difficult to find original ones these days.

Asking $800 for each set.
Shipping only within the continental U.S.A.

Also for sale is a single webbed piece of a lap belt with the leather pad. Asking $100

Please follow links to view all the Lap Belt photos from my Snapfish account.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Front Turn signal HELP
February 29, 2024, 03:52:15 PM
My front turn signals stop working when I pull on my headlight switch. All bulbs, sockets, connectors, fuses, and grounds checked and functioning properly. Flashers work as they should.
BUT, once the headlight switch is activated the front turn signals STOP blinking. The rear turn signals and marker lights work as they should, it's just the front two turn signal bulbs that stop blinking and stay just lit.
Upon further testing at the front turn signal sockets, with the bulbs removed, I'm getting 12 volts on both the turn signal side of the bulb tip and the parking lamp bulb tip when the parking lights are turned on. With the parking lights off and the turn signals activated, only the turn signal side of the socket carries 12 Volts, like it should.
Any ideas where this head light voltage could be leaking over to the turn signal side of the circuit? Could it be in the turn signal switch in the steering column itself? Thanks in advance, Denny

May 10, 2021, 10:16:48 AM
On the back side of the firewall pad, I found a number/letter combination pressed into the insulation. It looks like 6 B. Anyone out there have any ideas what this impression represents? Thanks.

Parts For Sale / 1966 Seatbelt Leather Pads
February 12, 2021, 06:05:43 PM
I replaced the leather pads on my Ray Brown seat belts today.
I had a premier leather shop make the new pads using my originals as the template. The new leather pads have been precisely cut to the exact measurements of the originals, using the same weight leather too. Same color, black finish on the top, natural leather on the bottom. See photos.

While they were filling my order, I asked them to make a few extras just in case any of you Forum members out there are missing one, or have the need to replace both of yours.

I'm asking $20 each, $35.00 a pair, shipped free in continental U.S.A. If you're out of the country, please PM me and we'll see what we can do to get them to you.

If you would like me to attach them to your hardware, you'll need to send your belt to me. I'll reattach the leather using the same tubular rivets that were used on the originals. I'll need to charge a little extra for my time and materials, plus return postage to you.

Please PM me through the Forum if you're interested. Limited quantity.

Thanks, Denny

In the SAAC 2020 annual magazine, there's a wonderful article on Leo Beebe. the article begins on page 46and runs through page 54. Thanks Rick Kopec for this interesting historical background and interview with Mr. Beebe.
On page 54 at the bottom right of the page, there's a photo of Beebe along with Ray Geddes and Carroll Shelby. In Beebe's left hand, he's holding a couple copies of something that appears to be titled GT-350 with the CS logo on top border.
Can any of you "Literature Collectors" identify what Leo's holding. Thanks, Denny

I'm looking for a little help to see if this is the correct Magnum 500 wheel for a Hertz car. It sure looks close, and the backspace is 3 3/8's as you can see from the one photo. However the stencil by Wheel Corp. is in the same location as my other wheels. Also this wheel has several stampings on the reverse side of the rim. None of my other wheels have this. This wheel has no "C" behind the 795 stamping. Thanks in advance, Denny

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / More C-4 questions
May 04, 2020, 02:07:24 PM
First, The transmission dipstick tube, Painted? If so, blue or black?

Second, The inspection plate, painted or not? If painted, what color?

Third, The inspection plate attaching bolts, painted or not?

Fourth, Any recommendations on replacement gaskets for the transmission pan?

Fifth, Any recommendations on a replacement "O" ring seal for the dipstick?

Lastly, The dipstick itself, the finger pull at the top, painted or not?

Thanks in advance, Denny

Hey Guys,
The other day Kieth and I were discussing intakes and we came back to the old thread that you guys worked on, to see if we could find an answer to our question, but didn't find it. So............here goes, on the underside of our intakes, on one of the posts we both have castings that are OECO, and under that A W L.
Do you guys know what "the A W L" represents?
We both thought it was posted somewhere in the past, but we couldn't find it again.
On the other bottom post, my intake has two letters cast there, see photo, of F G.
Could those be an inspector's initials?
On Kieth's intake, the other post is blank.
Does anyone else have similar castings?
Thanks in advance, Denny
