Great update! Hopefully the parts and car can be reunited.

A friend of mine needs fenders repaired, and I wanted to refer him to Dave Topper. Can someone PM me his contact information? I lost it somewhere along the way.

My '70 had them, I took them off when we repainted. It was delivered new to Miami. Black interior, no AC with the SCJ. I'm sure these were put on early days, if not at the dealer. Global warming aside, I'm sure it was hot back then too!

I just installed the Repops versions, and am not impressed. Their kit is for a 1970, so it mounts differently. It will flop around unless I drill a hole in my doors to screw in the ends.

I had another member on here ask for the nut as well. Let me know if you're still in need. Here's a photo of the original on the right and the one I used that came with a kit along with the new rubber.

I just installed my PM 300 and have an extra nut. PM me for my contact info and I'll find where I put it. It was in my hand just a few days ago.

They used to bring $1k or so, but lately I've seen a number offered in the $800 range and not sell. The aftermarket gauges have come a long way, and they have ones that look OEM now. So I think there's a little less demand unless the chrome housing is in primo shape. Just my opinion.

They are no longer made and all the vendors I know of (including Shelby Parts and Restoration) are out of stock. There's a few used ones and probably a new pair floating around people's garages.

I should have one extra that I can let go as I put the car back together from paint.

Different harness. I just removed the door wiring from my 70 AM radio car, and it did not have the provisions for speakers.

Hi. I'm sending my Shelby out for paint, and wanted to provide the proper color for the argent in the front end. I've heard it's the same as what Ford used on the rocker moldings for 70 Mach 1's, but that paint is now out of stock at every place I looked. Is there a paint code people recommend or another color that is close?

I masked off the chrome and then sanded the spokes, starting with a fairly aggressive grit since mine had nicks and scratches. Eventually, using finer grits, it was smooth but dull. I then polished it to a mirror shine with the buffing wheel.

I assumed the trap door and surround were black to prevent glare. That's a lot of sun coming in through that back window! But I'm not basing that on anything, and it may not have anything to do with Ford's thinking.

I recently sold my '70 with the intermittent wipers so unfortunately I can't run to the garage and check. I recall there being a low and high speed, with the difference being all the speeds in between.
