Cars For Sale / 1966 Shelby GT350 For Sale VIN#359
July 10, 2026, 12:17:53 PM
For Sale, here in the UK, is a very early build 1966 Shelby GT350 VIN#359.
Originally delivered to Ford Advance Vehicle Operations, Slough, England in December 1965.
This Shelby was originally a white with blue stripe shell, non-radio, automatic transmission car.
It was painted blue with white stripes many years ago whilst overseas and then prepared for timed events.
The current owner, who i am selling the car for, had the mechanics rebuilt but left the old paint and body, which is generally good, very presentable but patinated.
It retains its VIN stamped 289 Hi-Po motor and it currently backed by an early 4-speed Top-Loader tranmission.
The original 9 inch axle is in place and is currently running a 3.50:1 True-Trac LSD.
As an early build car it was Factory fitted with over-ride traction bars and 65 Hi-Po engine mounts.
All Factory Ford/Shelby body VIN stamps in place plus original TAG.
Refreshed stock spec. interior with original Dash Tacho in place.
Car retains its original Car-Lite side and back glasses, plus original Shelby Plexi-glass and trims.
Car has been known to myself for many years and has been extensively rebuilt mechanically with all work invoices covered by detailed photographs.
It is currently fitted with a number of non-standard components, such as Edelbrock Carburettor, MSD Distributor and True-Trac but is supplied with new repro Holley carb, Factory Dual-Point distributor and original 3rd Member assembly.
Extensive document history also going back many years is available.
I have been involved with original Shelby cars for nearly 50 years now so am happy to answer, as accurately as i can, any detailed questions you might have and supply further detailed pictures a required.
Please email: faulknerstevens@btinternet.com
Thank you.
Price is £150000 Sterling.

Hello, i have an early 67GT350 in my shop, here in the UK and my old friend Dan Nolan, based at the Mustang Barn in Harleysville PA also has a 67GT350 in his shop.
Both of us are having huge problems with brand new, or reconditioned Power-Steering pumps either not working on installation onto the car, or completely failing soon after fitment.
We are both following known bleeding, set-up methods but we are experiencing the same failures.
He is on his third pump and i am on my second.
Would any SAAC Member know of a good US based established rebuilder who can turn out a good pump? or maybe does anybody have a NOS Unit they would sell?
Any help/advice or pointer would be much appreciated to both of us.
Many thanks Alan and on behalf of Dan.

2176 is genuine, it has been in Europe, since i purchased it from Bill Collins. Known history from new with documents, refreshed where needed mechanically but 52k miles genuine and generally untouched. All original drivetrain in place.
Has just found a new home in the UK, with serious collector.

I have an original, 68 Shelby Sales Brochure for sale. It is in excellent condition and is signed by Carroll Shelby.
I have owned this for 15 plus years....i knew John Ashboure who ran the Shelby Heart Trust here in the UK and if Carroll came over he would often stay at John's home.
John kindly arranged for Carroll to sign the brochure for me, but it is dedicated to me.
I am asking $400 including postage to any US purchaser.
For detailed pictures and any other information, please email me at:
faulknerstevens@btinternet.com
Many thanks Alan.
