I used to own a 1969 Mach 1 that had ~75% original silver jade paint.  There were a few spots touched up on car.  They looked terrible when compared to original paint.  That color in its original form is unique.  As I recall more colors of metal flake than only silver.  I know it's a stretch but if you can find some original paint on a car I highly recommend trying to get it documented correctly.  Or at least some closeup pictures of paint.  I've also seen cars repainted in silver jade.  They always seem "flat" when compared to original.  Such a great color...

I remember that paint totally changing hues depending on lighting conditions.  I might be able to dig up some old pictures showing this if you're interested.

"Flash Chrome" is another term used.

Be careful with that car mentioned in previous post.  I know several knowledgeable folks that have backed away slowly fearing a tetanus infection.

I plan on attending weather permitting.  Don't want to drag an old car to a mud hole...  Any chance show will be held in paddock area if grass areas are too soft?

All,

I own an unrestored Boss 351 that has a load of Original Shelby over the counter performance parts added to engine (intake, distributor, cam, coil).  I'd really like to add an original Shelby Ventra Flow air cleaner to this engine.  This look somewhat like a velocity stack air cleaner used on old dual quad setups but has a larger diameter for single 4 barrel carb application.  Any leads on this greatly appreciated.
