Also had a SAAC member PM me that they had a mounting hub for sale, I'll be glad to pass that info on to a potential buyer.

My concern, other than theres not much left, is there another Mustang running around with the same VIN number? The front clip was removed for a reason and most likely the reason is it was grafted onto another Mustang and could that Mustang now be using this shells VIN number? Don't know.

Also looking at the sellers photos there are several Mustangs in need of repair in the background.

Other than a "charity" auction what was the previous record price?

The 48 State shipping is more to reduce the chance of loss or damage but if there is someone from AK or HI I will consider going through the Post Office.

Although SAI promised all 2011 GT350's would be autographed by CS that did not end up happening for several reasons including the lengthly hospitalization and ultimately the passing of CS in May 2012. This particular airbag cover was never installed so it is not connected to an individual GT350.

Fits the 2011-2014 Shelby GT350 and the 2011-2014 Shelby GTS. This is NOT for the GT500 cars.

Includes the COA from the Shelby Foundation. I've covered up the COA serial number in the photo as some buyers like to keep things like that private, the COA does not have the serial numbered covered up.

You're welcome. You most likely spoke with Tony E. who has run SAI's Cobra shop for decades and has lots of insight. If the original Cobra dealer is still in business many times you can try to get the original owners name from them as they are usually more free with that sort of information.

New Old Stock Moto Lita Shelby steering wheel sold in Europe for $575.USD by Europa. Part # CSL002/1

This is a more modern steering wheel from the last 10-20 years with the front spokes engraved with the CS Shelby Logo on the left side and an engraving of Carroll's signature on the right side. Wheel measures 14" across. Hub is machined for nine bolt holes, on the back of the wheel is a hardware bag containing an outer mounting ring and hardware. No hub or horn button.

Give Shelby Americans sales department a phone call and ask them to pull the paper build file, SAI can easily tell you if this continuation Cobra was sold as a roller or parts on multiple pallets to be assembled by a distributor or perhaps an the retail buyer/owner.

SAI can also provide you with how the Cobra was ordered option wise among other details. Now keep in mind that SAI will most likely NOT have any owner history but you never know unless you ask. I would also suggest asking for photocopies of any paperwork that is releasable, SAI does not appear to have a set policy on releasing paperwork so you will be at the mercey of whomever answers your phone call at SAI.

Fuel safe has you send in your old fuel cell to them to guarantee a fit I assume. Given that they require to have your old fuel cell anyway I doubt any additional paperwork from Shelby would be helpful or what am I missing?

Bob, I do not believe you are missing anything. I was under the impression that the OP did not know the bladder manufacturer nor any of the specifications of the bladder which is why I suggested he have SAI look up those details for him.

Did not know that fuel safe requires they do the bladder installation, shipping the fuel cell to and from isn't the cheapest thing but I suppose it falls under a maintenance expense for the owner.

Contrary to BaT popular opinion, I don't think, a 76 year old Carroll Shelby was driving this car around Las Vegas.

Gotta love the BaT peanut gallery comments, yes they can be snarky at times but the comments can also contain many facts but only if one wants to acknowledge them.

While not assembly line correct looks like a nice vehicle and hopefully someone in the EU is looking for a 1967. I do not see the bringing the vehicle back to the U.S. cost effective unless it hammers extremely low.

Do the cars come from Kirkham with the fuel cells installed or is it something SA changes/adds?

Keep in mind that the building of Continuation Cobra's by SAI has constantly changed throughout the years so the build process from 1997 will be different than the build process used in 2007 or 2017 but in my expereience any SAI installed bladders will have the certification paperwork from FuelSafe in the individual Cobra build file which is why I suggested calling SAI' sales department and asking them to pull your specific CSX file as to provide the owner with details. Seems the easiest way to me.

And cool Cobra model chart. Thanks for posting that as I've not seen it before. SAI would be doing a great service if they hung a large copy of that chart in their Heritage center.
