Cars For Sale / 1965 K Code Fastback GT Poppy Red
April 29, 2025, 12:09:11 PM
82k miles. Correct k-code components: heads, distributor, carburetor, exhaust manifolds, harmonic balancer, cooling fan, rear axle, alternator pulley. Engine & trans have factory VIN stamp. Original door data plate = provenance that car is correct today to how it rolled of the assembly line.

Poppy Red, Genuine factory GT, Black Deluxe pony interior. Rally-pac, original radio, console, day/night rear view mirror, adjustable door mirrors, styled-steel wheels & redline tires, 3:50 gears.

Extremely rare car: 1,760,678 Mustangs built from 1964 through 1967. Only 13,214 were K-codes, less than 1% of production.

Genuine factory GT -  15,079 of 680,989 Mustangs were ordered with the GT Equipment Group package in 1965. Math = factory GT's are only 2% of production. So it is both less than 1% of production being a k-code and a 2% of 680,989 cars built being a factory GT.

Runs, drives & looks beautiful. Worthy of any collection. Needs nothing. How well has it been maintained ? Even the clock in the rally pac works.

3 similar k-code fastbacks sold in Bring a Trailer recently for $137k and 2 others for $110k each.

Price is $99k. Lots of photos available for anyone seriously interested. This car is only going to appreciate in value.

Cars For Sale / 1965 K-code Fastback Factory GT

Extremely original car, 81k miles, I'm 5th owner. All original date stamped sheet metal. Correct date coded k-code engine components: heads, distributor, carburetor, exhaust manifolds, harmonic balancer, cooling fan, rear axle, alternator pulley. Engine & trans have factory VIN stamp. Has original door data plate giving provenance that car is correct today to how it was when it rolled of the assembly line.

Highly optioned : Poppy Red, Genuine factory GT, Black Deluxe pony interior. Rally-pac- tach & clock work, original radio, console, day/night rear view mirror, adjustable door mirrors, styled-steel wheels & redline tires, 3:50 rear gears.

Incredibly rare car: 1,760,678 Mustangs built from March 1964 through 1967. Of those, only 13,214 were K-codes. This math comes out to K-codes being less than 1% of production during that 4 year model run. Of those 13,214 cars how many are left and further, how many still have their original vin stamped drive train, have original door data plate & colors/options are correct and all the k-code unique engine parts ?

How many are genuine factory GT's ?  15,079 Mustangs were ordered with the GT Equipment Group package in 1965. With 680,989 Mustangs built in 1965 that = factory GT's accounting for just 2% of production. Confirmed factory GT here: tail lights turn on with fog lights- correct wiring harness, supports inside rear frame rails, dual exhaust hangers in rear floor pans and the radiator support holes for fog light wiring are punched not drilled.  So it is both a 1% of production being a 1965 k-code and a 2% of 680,989 cars built being a factory GT - unbelievably rare car.

More photos available but please only request if seriously interested. Inspections welcomed & encouraged.
