Well it turns out that I am missing that hanger bracket but what I find interesting is that the flasher has residue from an old adhesive strip.
I may end up using velcro for this.

Trying to figure out how the factory fed the rear brake and turn signal wire harness along the rear of the car.  I have these fiber board panels that cover the wires but the shelby lamps stick out kind of far and appear to interfere with the panels. 2 questions-
1.-did the factory cut holes in the cover board so that the back of the light sockets would protrude out beyond the cover board
2.  Was the harness anchored outside of the ground screws to keep it from moving around while the vehicle was in motion?

Trying to figure out the correct location for what I am assuming is the rear brake light and turn signal control module that is located in the trunk of the GT350.  Does anyone have a pic that can be shared?
thanks

How is the light grounded is the deck is fiberglass?  The light assembly in the previous posting only shows a single wire.

Do you know where it attaches to the chassis?

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 1969 GT350 trunk light?
January 23, 2026, 03:27:10 PM
I have seem some references to a light in the interior of the trunk of a GT350.  However i am not sure if that is the actual fact.
Does anyone know if this was an accessory and of so how was it set up?

Yes I saw your last post, you asked if I had a P300 antenna and I answered your question and gave you my reason for posting for help.
Again thank you for your input.

Yes I have the PM300 antenna, it appears to have all the mounting hardware except the locking nut that holds it in place to the rear body.  The thread for that locking nut is 9/16"-24 pitch.  I also know that the original locking nut design based on pics that I have seen is not a standard nut but I don't think I am going to find an original locking nut without buying another antenna which are quite pricey if you can even find an NOS antenna.

I was hoping someone might have another solution.

thank you for your input.

You are right it is not a jam nut, but it is plan B if i cant find the original part.

For my project Jigsaw, the car that came to me missing parts I received an original antenna that mounts at the rear of the car.  The only problem is that I need a nut to hold it in place.  I believe the thread is a 9/16"-24 fine thread.  Can anyone point me to an original antenna nut?  I have also looked for a jamb nut but have not been able to find that size and thread pitch.
thanks!

QuoteHere's the NOS original 1964 truck bumper chrome versions with non clear glass lens that were repurposed by Shelby and brass metal painted black. Unfortunately when installed into the fiberglass tail light panel the bezel metal prongs really chew up the edges of the plastic panel hole and many fell out and were lost. Some lucky owners noticed them loose and applied sealant and rotated them slightly after reinstalling to engage in better section of fiberglass edge. Very common issue you see replaced with the wrong only half shrouded no 64TK marking white plastic lens made in China make shift solution.

Nuke GT where can you get these?

I ended up using the old twisted and bent link.  The new one was dead straight and bound in the lock.  I also noticed that the lock key head was binding with the fiberglass panel so I ground down the head of the key to see if that would help.
