Disregard -- maybe it was a message board error, there were two other comments in this thread from Coralsnake and someone else. Perhaps removed now.

Thanks

I'm confused, new to owning and posting here -- did I do something wrong?

Polished up one of the wheels with some steel wool to better showcase condition

These look great from 5 feet

Set of four 15x7 Version 5 (see Coralsnake's guide)
Asking $1,500 plus shipping. Would consider a local handoff in Western PA region.

stamped S7MS-1007-D and 700X15 inside the spokes on the backside

See pictures for condition (can send many more photos to any interested parties). Would be good for a driver or survivor. No structural issues such as cracks, warping, dents -- just a bit dirty, faded, and some stains on the aluminum surfaces that may polish out with considerable effort or access to media blasters and other proper refinishing tools. For example, the white marks that appear like water spots on the outer edge are smooth to the touch.

In the picture of 4 wheels below, the finish on the upper-left wheel is the result of a light polish by hand with Mothers Aluminum/mag polish by hand. The staining remains but some shine returned.

Center caps and lug nuts also available. They are in fair-to-okay condition.

Quote from: Coralsnake on May 21, 2024, 05:27:05 PMYou will the original flaps glued to another metal base

Does removing the outer/visible metal plate allow access to repair/install the catch on the underside of the lid?

My lid is missing the catch and my base is missing the pin. I was thinking of picking up both from cobranda, but they warn the catch will require modification.

I know this is older but I searched and this does not come up often. Of all the things on the car, the lid sliding all around has to be one of the most annoying.

Thank you!

Just found out (from the registry here) that our 68 GT500 #1371 came from this dealer.
