1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 1967 tachometer question
May 21, 2025, 04:52:07 PM
I have owned my 67 Shelby GT 350 since the 70's I'm in the process of restoring the car getting it ready for SAAC 50, car is and will be totally stock, my question is, I have heard rumors that if the tach fails, it will shut down the engine, as one shop told me that it was a flaw in the maker of the tach for only 1967, I have talked to different speedometer-tach shops and seem to not get a clear answer, one shop talked about converting the tach to a 3 wire, and or converting to an electronic system, same tach just the mechanism changed, has anybody had an experience with this issue? Any advise will help, thanks, hope to see you at SAAC 50!

I have a 1967 GT 350, I recently had the car painted, when I got the car back I noticed that the serial number plate was missing, there are several vendors that I can get the plate from, but, I have been trying to find someone that can stamp the numbers-letters, does anybody know a shop that can do that?
