Thanks, I searched the registry as well.  A lot of folks have a vacation home up north but I think this owner may have lived in Chicago also.

CSX 2000 Series / CSX2... owner?
February 24, 2026, 02:11:44 PM
Hi All,
My brother worked for our power company working on updating meters.  He was in Minocqua, Wisconsin about 15-20 years ago in a remote area working next to a garage.  He looked through the window and saw a green 289 Cobra.  The owner came out and stated he had owned the car for some time (maybe since new) and raced it in France among other places.  It was in fairly original condition.  It was a drizzly day, but the owner still offered to take my brother for a ride and wasn't afraid to wring it out on the wet, curvy road.  My brother passed away 10 years ago and I never asked enough questions as to location, etc.  I've always been curious as to which car this may have been and any other info on the owner.  I know that my brother was thrilled and appreciative of the gesture and probably loved his job that day!

Ok, a little more research and some help from friends, the serial number would indicate this to be an October 1967 pump.  This would make it available, probably over the counter, for the 68 model year.  Thanks!  Jack

Hi All,
I'm having a moment (seems to be happening more often).  A December GT500 would not have the extra bracing like a GT500KR, but more like the extra welding on an S-code, correct?
