The 68 did perform one function pretty well. When driving in slushy snow they would pack full of freezing snow and build a layer of frozen snow half way up the sculpted door area locking you in your car. You'd have to roll down the window and carefully chip off the ice in order to get out. If you just pushed real hard, you could break the scoop. Of course this would happen when you had stopped at a service station for gas and a pit stop.
