1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / WTB 68 end caps (pair)
January 15, 2026, 06:57:51 PM
Looking for a pair of original end caps (quarter extensions) for my 68 GT350 mines a fastback body style but after reading the recent post about quarter extension research, it sounds like either body style (fastback or convertible) will work.
Thanks

Quote from: Bob Gaines on December 19, 2025, 07:04:44 PMIt can be hard to identify a rim profile of shiny chrome. I quickly put some masking tape to highlight the profile and marked the edge with a sharpie to identify the edges. I took a picture from two slightly different angles.  I hope that you can see the difference in the offset of this wheel compare to the one you first pictured. To me there is a big visible difference between the Hertz wheel and the Mopar wheel in your pictures. Some people for whatever reasons have difficulty seeing small differences in this special wheel. If you can't see the difference then I can't help further. I hope this helps.
Thanks!
So it is the depth of the center hub so to speak into the rim itself. Thank you for explaining 😎

I was fixated on the deep dish outer part of the wheel rather than the part closest to the Hub🤦♂️

Bob, I'm not doubting you.  I'm here to learn.
Rather than just saying "it is a small amount" can you be more specific? I genuinely would like the know. Thank you.

I figured out how to post pics.
Incorrect center caps but correct wheels.
I agree that those are not Hertz Shelby wheels. They have the wrong offset.

I'm certainly no expert but they look exactly like the ones on the black barn find GT350H from a few years back...

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / 1966 Hertz GT350 wheel value
December 18, 2025, 01:10:36 PM
I've ended up with a set of 1966 Shelby GT350 Hertz wheels. Wondering what the value on a set of 4 with no center caps would be.

I wish I could figure out how to load pics.

Edit: These are the chrome magnum 500 style with the wide correct band or hoop.
