1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Hood pin cable lanyards?
June 20, 2026, 03:07:22 PM
I have read conflicting information about non-carryover cars and cars built in 1966 regarding the use of cable lanyards with the hood pins. Is there a consensus opinion on 66 cars having lanyards or not?

Thank you. 2 speed it is, then.

Funny stuff! But the answer is? 1 speed I presume.

Looking for information on whether a 66 Shelby built in March of 66, around serial number 1000, would have 1 or 2 speed wipers. Thanks!

Wanted to Buy / 66 Shelby RH Quarter Window Trim
May 16, 2026, 05:44:25 PM
Looking for a NOS or used interior plastic quarter window interior sill trim. Looking for NOS or good used original. Not interested in fiberglass reproduction pieces. I only need the bottom wide piece as pictured for the passenger side. I believe the part number is S2MS-29963-B

I think I will hold onto them. I have just one side.

Were any '66 Shelbys made with blue interior? I have one set of the plexiglass interior plastic, 2 piece window surround. It is blue and was molded that color. I don't remember where I got it.

Unfortunately, Rowland Hall passed away.

Parts For Sale / 1965 Hipo Heads $2,700 plus shipping
January 28, 2026, 11:20:25 PM
Selling 1965 Hipo heads, Dates are 5C18 with No, 19 and 5D28 with No.20. One head had a repair which was done well and checks out on a magnaflux test. These have been ported and machined for 1.94 and 1.45 valves. These are for a higher RPM engine based on porting and valve size. Rocker arms, springs, and valves have been removed and are in a box. One rocker arm is missing. Will have pictures by this weekend.

What person or company do members here recommend for '66 Shelby 9K tach restoration?

Thank you all for the responses. I will be installing a tach on the dash of a 66 Fastback which has not had a Shelby tach installed before.

In my 66 Shelby we installed the tach using the existing holes before we installed the windshield. We had plenty of room to work with. I was looking for tips on how to install one including drilling the holes in the dash metal while the windshield was in place.

I was also looking for information on how SA did it?
