I too have a holley 650 double pumper carb on mine. I went to orielys auto parts and bought an inline glass gas filter for mine. I have been running it for years with no problems.

I restored #731 and it came with boots. I also restored #689 and it came with pieces of thick rubber with a hole in the middle for the traction bar to go through with the fiberglass cover over the bar secured  to the floor with riviots.

I just cant picture Steve McQueen driving an automatic.....and being happy about it.

I go on ebay and use Sorenson crosscut FOMX45 points. I have always ran them in my shelby.

Just wondering, why did you go back to points?  I have never ran Pertronix in my shelby.

I always use White Post Restorations located in white post virginia.

i see 289 badges and mustang badges on the  mustang. Did shelby american pull these off and fill the holes on all shelbys?

I figured it was underide traction bars. I know they switched over sometime in the #900's.
