Just wondering, why did you go back to points?  I have never ran Pertronix in my shelby.

A friend of mine bought the 67 390 4speed fastback mustang that was in a field featured on his show.

I always use White Post Restorations located in white post virginia.

i see 289 badges and mustang badges on the  mustang. Did shelby american pull these off and fill the holes on all shelbys?

I figured it was underide traction bars. I know they switched over sometime in the #900's.

Was this car an over ride or under ride car?
#8
Does any one know the shelby#?

I noticed you have a 1966 instrument cluster installed in #444. When did that happen?

I wonder what that big hole to the left of the wiper switch is?

Also be sure you install the metal hollow tubes into the screw holes to prevent the bracket from crushing the dash pad you see on a lot of shelbys. Cut the tube so it is almost flush with the bottom of the tach bracket. The tubes are just large enough for the screw to go into. When you screw it down it will be nice and secure.

The gentleman said no 1966 shelbys had overide traction bars which is false information.

I have seen it on the padded dash and also centered under the radio. I used to put it on the padded dash, but it kept falling off after a while so mine is centered under the radio.

I just dont understand how a car like this sits that long without being driven. If i let my hertz sit more than a week i start getting the urge to drive it.
