1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / 68 Shelby Console Latch Spring Clip

Anybody know where can I get a decent replacement latch spring clip for a 68 console lid? Mine broke and I've never found a way to weld spring steel.
The one Branda sells is plastic and doesn't fit properly.
