Quote from: SUN02591 on June 06, 2025, 10:50:45 PMDan,

I still own the Raven Black KR "02591" and rest assured have no intention of selling it while of sound mind and body.  I'm having too much fun in making it factory/period correct as well as driving it on weekends and showing up for AACA events and Carlisle Ford Nationals.

02591 still runs on Turbo Blue 110 leaded racing fuel and rides the road on its bias-ply tires.

In fact, it was at the Carlisle Ford Nationals today in category G306 Shelby "King of the Road" and will be there tomorrow.

How have you attempted to reach out to me-email or social media?  I don't recall receiving any inquiry.  In fact, it was Tim Lea and Tim Brillhart (previous owner) that brought your inquiry to my attention and the fact that a clone sale advertisement is citing my KR's SUN.

Great to hear you put your inquiry on the SAAC Forum for verification!

All the best in your search for a legitimate KR!

Sincerely,
Don Pealer

Don I'm not looking to buy your car. I have attempted to contact you through Facebook messenger with no success. I have found a car in my hometown exactly like yours including the VIN (Shelby plate, window and buck tag) numbers. I have pictures and names.  I think it would be worthwhile to contact me. Please others I have nothing but good intentions to handle this is an appropriate way. Let Don contact me, and we will determine what to do. If you know Don have him contact me please.   UPDATE after comments. The inner fender number is completely different. In fact, it is a C code engine code. I do have the printout from the registry and that is why I mentioned David Peeler. I have tried to get in touch with him to find out his relationship with the car. If he still owns it or has sold it. Questionable Shelbys??? I don't know about that, I have had and still search out Shelbys. Just bought a KR that has been sitting since 82. I have had several clones as well but was well aware what I was buying and selling. Chevys lol. I'm smart enough to own old Fords of all flavors (Cammers, Fairlanes, Mustangs, Galaxies, etc.) but also smart enough to race Chevrolets in today's world. I'll reach out to Coralsnake. Thanks all.

I have located a Raven Black 68 KR Shelby number 2591. I have many questions about this car as the inner fender does not match the Ford number. Other than that, it's a beautiful car. It is listed in the Registry. I have tried to contact the last owner, a Donald Pealer in Virginia with no success. My dilemma is that he may still own it and I'm not sure what I will be potentially buying. At this point and time, I'm going to assume it's a clone, but I really would like to explain the Tags on the car including the Shelby fender tag, door tag and dash tag. Any information would greatly be appreciated. I can supply my phone number if needed. Thanks Dan

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: THE RAILROAD CARS

A friend of mine dads bought a 67 Brittany Blue 350 that was involved in a train incident involving several cars in Topeka Ks. His dad was an employee
of ATSF and bought the least damaged car of the bunch. Still has it to this very day.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: 1969 Instrument Cluster
December 22, 2021, 08:25:14 PM
Thank you all for the replies. After a conversation with the Tach man and having him hang on me like the arrogant prick he seems to be I decided that I would send my Instrument unit to Instrument Specialties in Rhode Island.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 1969 Instrument Cluster
December 10, 2021, 12:07:12 PM
Putting the finishing touches on my 69 and I'm at the restoring instrument cluster stage. I know that I need a new ammeter silkscreen. Is the tach guy the only person does that. Would you use the Scott Drake instrument and clock panels, or would you have the originals restored? If restored, by whom? Anybody use the quartz clock that's available? How about instrument lights?  Thanks

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Last 69/70 Shelby built
April 20, 2021, 04:25:49 PM
I'm sure this has been covered a dozen times but I entered a debate with a guy that I'm trying to resolve. I owned 0F02R483264 at one time and I know this had to be one of the last several cars built. Does anyone know what the last car number is? I don't own a registry.
