Up For Auction / Re: Owner of SFM6S1533 here ?

I'm sure it must be posted in other places, too. That ad is from Los Angeles, but it says the car is located in Kentucky.

Offers considered. I searched here and on other sites to come up with a value on these but came up with no similar examples, so I plucked this number out of the air. Will listen to offers and advice on real value.

I have this Nodular third member to sell. It has a"7F2" casting date, 3.50 gears and a 31 spline open carrier. It has an incorrect yoke on it, but it appears to have been run that way for some time and still in good shape. I struggled to determine a value on it so since it falls in the vicinity of "Spec Case" and "68 GT500" dates, I'll start there. $1200 plus shipping.

I also have the matching 31 spline axles for this. They fit 67-70, but I guess are "correct" for 68-70. One has a visible "C8OW" casting. The other is not clear at all. They both appear to be in very good shape, but both will need to have the collars behind the bearings replaced. One is missing altogether and the other looks like it was used in a housing with a 28 spline axle seal. $450 plus shipping. See pics.

Concours Talk / Re: 1967 And 1968 Production Dates
June 11, 2021, 04:44:15 AM

Thanks to those who've replied here and those who've contacted me with interest in it. I still need to get an idea on it's value so I can put a price on it. Here are a few pics of it.

First, the date code. The "7F2" are visible. I think I didn't clean it off and there's another number after the "2".

Front view.

It appears to have the wrong yoke even though it looks like it was run this way for many years and the gears still look in good shape.

The date on the Daytona pinion support looks like "A25".

The "C4AW 4025-B" casting number.

I didn't take a pic of the gears, but it has 3.50 gears on a 31 spline open carrier.

Thanks for he reply. Anyone know when the 67 production ended? The reason I'm asking is I recently came into possession of a Nodular third member with a "7F" date and I'm trying to figure out what it might be appropriate for. I want to determine a value on this so I can offer it for sale next month. I'm going out of town next Tuesday and won't return until the end of this month.

When did the 67 production end, and when did the 68 production begin? Search function wasn't much help.

She doesn't stand a chance. Never mind the fact that she has NO qualifications. She's doomed by the fact alone that she's NOT a Trump puppet.

1965 GT350/R-Model / Re: 65 GT350 Horns

Here is a picture. Typically each horn has a different date. This example show 4HC  Aug 1964 3rd shift

Wouldn't that be 3rd WEEK instead of 3rd SHIFT? Ford only lists the the shift in conjunction with an exact date.

Bet that got your motor running.

As several have confirmed, it's a nine-inch.
Being a "Mach," it had to come from the factory with a nine-inch. Of course, over the 50 years of it's life, anything could've been swapped in.
Visually, as pointed out, the bolt-on pinion snubber is a giveaway. The eight-inch rears didn't have them. Also the socket trick on the bottom two nuts. On an eight-inch rear, you  can get a socket on the bottom two nuts. On a nine-inch, no socket fits. You have to use a wrench.

What parts are you needing? I have some smog pieces off a 68 Mustang 289. Maybe they're the same.
