CSX 2000 Series / Voltage gauge vs Amp gauge
July 19, 2022, 01:34:43 PM
Did any CSX2000 series cars come with a Stewart Warner "Volt" gauge instead of an "Amp" gauge?

Thanks in advance,

Up For Auction / Re: Shelby owned 69 on Ebay

I think the car just went through the most recent Mecum auction.

Not sure if it sold?

For what its worth, there are about two dozen 1969s that claim to be previously owned
by Carroll Shelby, so I would check that claim carefully

My personal take on this, given that CS passed away in 2012, the 2014 issue date and 2018 reissued California title in CST name, shows this to potentially be one where a dealer, or series of dealers, partnered with CS/CST to title cars in his/their name at a later period than the 60-70's, so as to ad "perceived value" to the vehicle in question, strictly for resale purposes only. It has yet to be shown where CS ever actually "physically" touched any of these cars while still alive, let alone the paperwork to the cars at that time.

PS: Now, and this is just my personal opinion mind you, if there was a 60's issued title and personal family (not PR related) pictures showing CS personally owning and using a particular vintage Shelby, that would add true value to a specific vehicle.

Will be interesting to see if the market is stronger now, then the last time it sold in 2020.

Speak to Dennis Olthoff, he's a Superformance dealer in N. Carolina. I believe they have a Monza red Mk2 for sale.

Why? Why? I guess I will never learn. Its okay I enjoy the challenges.

If it is one vs the other, you win.

End of discussion.

Healthy number.

Prior ownership played a large part in the final sale price.

A true automotive gentleman and enthusiast, not may like him in the world these days. May he be turning laps at the LeMans track in the sky with glee.

Our condolences to his family and friends.

Folks,

Look at the date of my original post (February 2021), the car in question (1584) now resides in Texas, I'm playing with the replica cobras while the shop finishes up repairs on 2642

He's growing up. Found his own Shelby. Worked it for 6 years and got it home finally. Now his own account on SAAC Forum! He was just a fifth grader at my side when we started this Forum! Time for him to step his involvement with SAAC as well!

How quickly they grow up  :)
