Those figures are skewed. Death is often caused by secondary elements, not Covid 19 directly.  I read multiple reports. So it's not MY opinion, but that or many who are accurately reporting information and are the EXPERTS on the subject, not the fear mongers.  The CDC shows 62,000 deaths Between 01 Oct 19 - 04 Apr 20 from the common flu. They also are not telling you about over 250,000 recoveries  Many test positive with little more than cold symptoms.  It never develops. I am not against using precautions. However, accurate testing really wasn't available until recently.  The new testing is Godsend. It allows testing in minutes.  Every hotspot is where mass public transportation is used.  Los Angeles NY, Chicago, San Francisco....  They will always be the hub of communicable diseases and they always have been historically speaking.
Covid 19 isn't new.  It's likely many have been exposed and were months ago.  At least unlike the H1N1, there was action taken almost immediately.
I'm glad to see we're not dumping another trillion U.S. dollars into the WHO.  Keep it here, develop the cure like we usually do and make it cost-effective to the world.  The UN is impotent and protected the Chinese Government.  Again, not my opinion but proven fact.

So are we just interested in the numbers then? 62,000 deaths BUT 250,000 recoveries so nothing to worry about? Why Covid19, why not gun related deaths? (never mind I know why)

How about this, about 128,000 people in the USA die from drugs prescribed to them. This makes prescription drugs a major health risk, ranking 4th with stroke as a leading cause of death.

We cannot destroy the country for a few. We've lost many more to the yearly flu.

CDC reports 34,157 deaths in the US related to the 2018-2019 flu season. Covid19 deaths in the US reported to date are 26,334 and rising. Your "opinion" is as good as mine where it will finish.

The talking asshole leftists are more concerned with bashing the President who did act quickly while being called every foul name in the book for stopping travel.

There is not enough room on the forum to link to all the press briefing video of "Mr T" down playing the severity of Covid19 or ignoring expert medical opinions. It's true red and blue like to take shots at each other, that doesn't mean the facts they use are not true.

People are not openly discussing anything they are just defending their point of view and in defending point of view they are defending their egos which means they are expressing the ideas that they think others people want to hear.

You can present the facts to people but the facts won't penetrate because it's not about facts its about opinions that they have to hold on to in order to feel OK about themselves.

I have the antibodies, so I am immune to Covid 19.  I am donating plasma.  This is a great way to help others, which many here are of the age group most at risk.
If you are fortunate enough to have the ability to help others, please do so.
Even simple things like picking up groceries, mail or meals can be helpful to those who are compromised or at risk.
I thought the only way you acquired the antibodies was to have had Covid19 and recovered?

So I spoke to my doctor who is also a close friend and he confirmed that you are correct. The only way you could possess the antibodies is to have recovered from Covid19. That being said not all people will present with the same symptoms. It is also possible to be asymptomatic but that make you a carrier. This is the danger of this particular virus, you may not realize you are a carrier and infect others. He went on to say that the likely hood of contracting Covid19 and not showing even mild symptoms is at this point in time very rare, but that could change as the virus mutates.

Best advice is to remain isolated. Can't catch fish if you don't go to the pond  ;)

I'm curious as to why the Miami Post Pumper is the head of the Florida SAAC chapter. Are people appointed by the SAAC directors or membership to those positions or is it as simple as saying "I'm the head of the XYZ SAAC region"?

I'm sure I will be corrected if I am wrong, but here goes.

Allegedly...

When eleanor joined SAAC he had a local cult following. This band of merry men also joined at the same time thus creating the Florida region. No one dare challenge eleanor for the head position and he ran unopposed.

The region had its own spot created on the forum and the onslaught began. Tails of wild parties that involved spraying mustard on one another soon became legend. eleanor was handed the keys to the newly created forum and ruled with an iron fist. If you posted in his area and he disagreed with you he simply deleted your post.

As you might guess people complained and warnings were given. Meanwhile back at the ranch the forum server refused to accept anymore post from Florida and crashed its hard drive thus ending forum 1.

All the minion of the Florida chapter quit paying dues and left the national club except for one.

When a new forum 2.0 was launched eleanor saw the opportunity he had waited his whole life for, and seized control by posting continuously. His post count rose quickly and he flaunted it in everyone face, "Look at me first to 1000 posts".

Cut/paste, cut/paste, +1, +2, +3. "fishing is great".  Complaints were once again lodged.

A new feature was added to the forum to allow each user to block all posts made in any section they chose to exclude. It was no surprise that the Florida region was the number one blocked section, in fact I don't believe anyone has blocked any other section. You would think this solved the problem, but you would be wrong.

eleanor moved out of the shadows and took over the lounge. He push the limits to the max.

And here we are.

I'm curious as to how you discovered you had the antibodies? Specifically was there a test you took? If so, what was the exact test that you took? I'm interested because I'd like to take it to
