Wanted to Buy / 1967 GT 350 Dash Emblem
May 09, 2018, 05:19:47 AM
Looking for an excellent condition original 1967 GT 350 dash emblem as the one I have hasn't weathered it's 50+ years particularly well. I think I can bring the chrome back on the one I have so if just the inserts were available I would consider that as well.

I don't know if there's a difference between early or later emblems as there are with so many other parts on these cars but this would be for an early car - 10/66.

Is there any guidance on how deeply inset the deluxe seat buttons should be in the upholstery? Like should the retaining clips be pushed as far on the pin as possible, just enough to grab or somewhere in between? Is there a defined difference between the front and rear seats?

I ask because on my first pass of the back seat I installed the clip as far down as it would go and feel like the button is maybe inset too much. Certainly seems like it's more than on the original upholstery. I might add this is the TMI repro upholstery.

EDIT: btw - any good tips on getting those clips off without destroying them?

What would be the correct hardware for securing the shifter boot(s) to the tunnel?

As near as I can tell the lower boot is pulled up through the tunnel opening and sandwiched between the cabin side of the tunnel and upper boot. I've seen both p/o hex-head bolts and pan head phillips sold for the application. AMK F-907 (pan head phillips) is described as "SHIFTER (manual) LWR BOOT RETAINER" and described elsewhere as "4-piece kit includes screws needed to secure the lower shifter boot to the floor". Just want to make sure I'm looking for/at the right thing.

What do I need to know about these? From what I can tell from around the web the '67(s) should have black rivets, does this include early cars? They're the same as the tail light rivets?
