Ladies and Gentleman, here is a chance to purchase a museum quality 1967 Shelby GT500 fully documented with Marti Report and tractability to birth.  The car was 1 of 2,048 GT-500's that were built in 1967, of which 1,376 came with 4 speed Manual Transmissions, 48 of them were painted Candy apple Red, 48 of them were equipped with Black Knitted Décor Bucket Seats and only 40 of them had the Extra Cooling Package installed. This car Shelby 67400F9A01821 is one of those cars with all of the listed options. This is an amazing  1of only 40 cars and is now being offered for sale.

This car was produced by ford on 04/13/1967 in in the San Jose Ford production Plant and finished by the Shelby American Los Angeles hangar facility in late 1967. It was delivered to FORD Dealer  SUD Automobile Inc 320 St Charles St Longueuil PQ Canada, The car was originally purchased in late December 1967  (name un-known original buyer) The car was occasionally driven until put into a storage barn in 1974. Mr. George Alexandrou discovered the car in the dry hay barn in 1985. The car was exceptionally preserved. He negotiated a deal and purchased the car in 1974.  Due to the outstanding condition of the vehicle and the fact that it had been stored the majority of its life all the original metal and fiberglass parts were in pristine condition. Mr. Alexandrou decided to have a full restoration performed on the car. Shelby GT 500 6700F9A01821 was meticulously restored with an open checkbook to factory specifications by G.P.A. Auto in Laval Canada. Laval elected to have the engine completely inspected and restored to factory specifications by P.A. Auto. The results of these efforts produced a museum quality 1967 Shelby GT 500 which has been featured on the Cover page of Canadian Classics Magazine.

The car has only been kept in private collections since the full restoration and remains in showroom condition. The 428 PI two four barrel motor runs like clockwork. The body condition and shine can only be appreciated in person. The undercarriage is correct in every feature as delivered with each inspection station marked as it was when built. The unrestored black knitted Décor interior is in excellent condition.
The car speaks for itself and really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated  The level of detail that has been put into this restoration is second to none. This GT500  could be an amazing addition to someone's exclusive collection or automata show winner if someone desired to show the vehicle.

The car run and drives perfectly, however test drives will be limited to serious buyers only. It can be seen and inspected and test driven by appointment in Waxahachie Texas just south of Dallas.

Up For Auction / 1967 GT500 Shelby Racecar

1967 Shelby GT500 Road Race Car (with Small Block/GT350 Race History)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Shelby-Cobra-GT500-GT350/253540379291?hash=item3b082f2a9b:g:5XIAAOSwiuxaxOh-&vxp=mtr

While there are a few known 1967 Shelby GT350s that were road raced in the 60s and 70s, a GT500 road race car with race history from the late 60s, is very rare. This Shelby has perhaps the longest road race history of any GT500, having been race quite extensively from the 70s through the 90s, participating in B Production and GT1 classes. Initially equipped with a 428 C.I. big block, from 1971 to present the Shelby has been raced with a Ford small block. This vintage legal Shelby has raced in SVRA, VARA, CHR, SCCA and CSRG race events and is listed in the Shelby World Registry.

California Title in hand.

Up For Auction / 67 GT500 on eBay

Not mine but welcome thoughts..

Here is a solid original black plate California car, it was sold new in Laguna Beach California, where it remained with the 1st owner until 2005.  The second owner Pat Hoxie of Florida purchased the car in 2005 off of EBay.  The car was being sold by Peterson Museum on the behalf of the original owner's widow, her husband, Lawrence Lydick, passed away 10 years earlier in 1995.  Pat Hoxie meticulously maintained the car and has driven it approximately 2,000 miles during his 13 years of ownership. Mechanically the car runs out very strong.  Pat thought the car to be the fastest and best driving of his vintage Shelbys, much more impressive than his 68 GT500 KR.  Upon driving it myself I was quite impressed, the car is pretty original with reportedly one repaint, probably done back in the 80's.  The interior is original showing the patina of being a 50+ year old.  When you look at the engine compartment you see the original California smog still in place, just as it was when it left the factory assembly line in 1967.  The floors are extremely solid, I took pre-clean and wiped off the 50 year old undercoat from the main section of the floor to reveal the original red oxide primer.  Before Pat and I worked a trade we drilled out one of the rivets from the original Shelby tag for the first time to get the Ford VIN underneath.  This is the only way to confirm the numbers match.  You cannot get a Marti Report without providing both sets of numbers.  The Marti Report confirms that these are a match and that the car is correct.  The car was sold new at South Coast Motors in Laguna Beach California, it has 129,352 miles on it.  The original owner reported that the engine was rebuilt in 1988 when the car had 122,400 miles on it, that was 30 years ago.  It has been driven about 7,000 miles since.  This is not a trailer queen by any means, but there is a lot of fun and enjoyment left in this vintage big block Shelby. You can enjoy it just as Pat did in its present condition or it would be a great candidate for a cosmetic restoration.  I set my price at what I see people asking for tribute cars. This is the real deal with supporting documents and ownership history since new.  Next to the 1965 GT350 it is probably the second most valuable of all the early Shelbys.  It is the only year and last year that Shelby personally built a big block 428 with 2 x 4's GT500. The 68 thru 70 models were built at Ford with only a single 4 barrel.  The car comes with its original owner's manual, sales brochure, Deluxe Marti Report, and ownership history.  For more information call Don at Vantage Sportscars Cell – 407-497-2122.
