Carolina Region SAAC / Re: Hendrick Heritage tour

There are several behind the scenes videos on YouTube of the collection, including one, where everyone had a cellphone/camera going at all times!  Their facility, their rules, still a neat place to visit.

The story of this video, I was researching '67 stuff and on a non-automotive Michigan history page, a man posted it.  He said he'd been going through some unknown and unnamed boxes of crap and when sorting, he found the VHS tape, which is in good shape, played it and transferred it into digital form for upload to YouTube.  He has no affiliation with the tape so no knowledge, other than he thought it looked cool, which was a correct assessment!

When passing Philadelphia, definitely worth crossing the Delaware into the city near Phila. Airport and visiting the Simeone Automobile Collection.  They have one of the original Daytona Coupes, plus a couple of GT40s along with other historic race cars.  A couple hours is sufficient to see it all.  While in Wilmington NC, visiting the Battleship USS North Carolina is well worth it.

Thanks, I had actually found an old photo with a billboard and phone number on some obscure website that had nothing to do with cars!  I find information in the weirdest places.

From the Kansas City Times, 11/9/1976.  2011 registry has zero info on car #442, other than it was shipped to Dick Bohn Ford, Gretna LA in Feb '67..

For a research project, I'm trying to find the 1967 phone number for Republic, if anyone has a car from there with any dealership paperwork, I'd be grateful!

Had to rotate this one - such a great photo!!  (Hope that's OK)

I saw that too, I was just too tired to care!  My step tracker parking cars and taking care of everything for the show was nearly 17,000.

What a show!  Planned for about 30 cars, ended up with 60.  The Shelby name was well represented with some amazing cars including GT350/500s from 1965,66,67,69.  Many Cobra replicas, late model GT350/500s, Ford GT, Sunbeam Tiger, Boss/Machs, etc and so on.  For now, I'm placing photo galleries on the Hickory Aviation Museum Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/HickoryAviationMuseum until I get them all and I'll do a full gallery or slide show.  Thanks to all who came out on a perfect day for car show.
