While i have my gaue cluster out on my 67 gt500 i figured i would replace my emergency and turn signal flasher units as they are now easy to access with the gauges currently out.
My question is with the added rear tail lights on the 67 shelby did they use the same flasher units for the turn signals/emergency signals on the shelby as was fitted to the mustangs or was there a different unit used a more heavy duty unit because of the more lights added?
I know there was problems with the factory headlight switch and some dealers i believe fitted mercury cougar headlight switches to take the load of the 4 headlight system and wasnt sure if something similar may have happened here with the flasher units.
If so can anybody recommend a brand or heavy duty type flasher unit they have found that is good/reliable and has a good shelf life.

     I replaced my headlight switch with a 67 Cougar headlight switch after driving back from
the SAAC convention in Pocono 1989 when my headlights kept flashing off and on on the BQE
in the middle of the night!!

Hi,
    I think I asked this question on the lost forum but don't remember if I received an
answer. Are the bulbs in the oil/amp gauge cluster clear or green? Mine are clear.

If not I don't know what the difference is. Generally a change in engineering number for what seemingly is the same part indicates a change in design of some sort.

Hi,
    The seller claims that the C7 has a slightly different angle for the H-pipe for the Mustangs. I've never heard
that before? I thought the C6 and C7 would be physically the same as you say.

     I need a drivers side exhaust manifold for my 67 GT500 (12/21/66 San Jose-1/6/67 SA)
I bought one a few years ago but don't like the look of the studs (rusty-look weak)
This manifold is on EPay right now. Seller claims Mustangs used C70E-9431A. I've seen most
posts here mention C6OE? Anywho, need some guidance :-)

I remember now, the last time I did this I was having fuel delivery problems,
car would stall, be hard to restart. I discovered that the fuel sock on a repop fuel
sender had fallen off. I removed the tank to inspect it (was clean, in good shape)
and removed the fuel sock from the tank  :-)

I had the flashing headlight problem. Put in a 67 Cougar headlight
switch, works well.

      Want to replace my fuel line connections and need the clamps.
Anyone have 8 to sell. Don't need any other hardware and AMK has

Finally got around to replacing the fuel sender today,
got tired of using the trip odometer to figure out my fuel level  :-)
Was able to remove it without much fuss. Kept the rubber o-ring in place
using a little grease to hold it in place. Bought the Scott Drake repo as I don't
think NOS is available anymore? Any who, all is good again!

I'm pretty sure my fuel sender needs to be replaced.
1. Is it possible to remove the sender without dropping the tank?
    I'm thinking the transverse muffler would prevent that option?
2. Does the tail panel have to be removed in order to remove the fuel filler?
    I remember replacing the sending unit many years ago and I couldn't remove
    the tank because of the fuel filler being in the way.
